What are the odds that the best available coaches in the nation all played for the same coach at the same program during the same short time span?
Baseball Coaching Staff
Is this really the best we can do? Players look lost at the plate, new players not developing, solid talent comes in and regresses. Pissing away what should have been a great season.

Wonder if Todd Walker or Ben McDonald would be interested in the HC job at LSU... Soon!

You do realize that under NCAA rules you can only have 2 paid assistants in baseball. One is our pitching coach and the other is head of recruiting.. Maybe they should pay a hitting coach and have an unpaid recruiting director.

If you get Todd Walker you'd have your HC plus hitting coach! Problem solved!!!

Todd walker tried coaching and was a major failure. Just because he’s one of the greatest hitters of all time doesn't make him a quality coach.

Major failure because he coached in HS? He brings more to the plate than what we currently have on this team

What makes Mainieri good besides the talent LSU recruits, he figures out the lineup, he & Dunn go over the pitching and occasionally he calls a hit & run.
I don't want change for the sake of change but I also don't want to get raped by a shitty Missouri team in baseball. Watching this team with the lack of hitting is painful.

Oh it could definitely be worse than it is now. End of Smoke’s tenure is an example of that.

There’s a reason he’s not coaching.

This! LSU Baseball for the most part recruits itself. We need a hitting coach pretty bad.
