First few years were pretty good. Recruiting fell off and he had a major neck problem.

Class act.

I’m not sure Skip had a Goat career tbh.

That's one of the stupidest fukin' things I've ever seen written on TD. You're the ONLY one that feels that way, I'm confident.

The girl at two o’clock appears to be a bit young for a Coors Light at Rosenblatt.

As well as Charles Schwab Field (formerly TD Ameritrade).

If that was Rosenblatt, she'd actually be old enough to drink it now - given they haven't played at the Blatt in 12 years.

He should have been there. The auburn AD played for him, and ND was there.

Great man, great ambassador for the university. Glad he stuck around

Paul is a great guy, I had lunch with him a few weeks after his retirement, he looked so relaxed and happy, his neck wasn't killing him, he deserves a nice retirement.

losing Eric Walker didn’t help. Completely screwed our pitching in the finals. Not sure we wouldn’t have taken it otherwise.

If Walker doesn’t injure his arm then, IMO, LSU absolutely wins BB-Natty #7. Prior to his injury, Walker gave LSU 3 Legit Starters & was routinely going 6/7 innings every time he started a game.

I still can’t believe NOLA didn’t get the opportunity to pitch in the CWS Finals vs Florida that season. I understand why Paul made the calls he made regarding the Starting Pitcher rotation for the Finals. It’s just a shame that NOLA didn’t get to “Show Out” in the Purple & Gold 1 more time & on the biggest stage the sport has!!

Dude, Nola was at LSU from 2012-2014….Three years before the CWS finals vs Florida in 2017.

As a baseball “fan” how do you not know this?

It was Lange that I somehow mixed up with Nola. My bad. Too much medicinal this morning.

Paul is a feminine little guy. Talks like a girl. Looks like a dwarf fairy.

Walked in to get a sammich and beer and there was Paul Mainieri chatting it up with anyone and everyone. He's such a nice man and was a helluva coach at ND and LSU.

He is fake and manipulative, but would be glad to know it is still fooling a lot of people.

Alex Lange is the pitcher you are thinking of and he would have started game 3 had there been one. He had pitched that Friday and CPM didn’t want to pitch him on 2 or 3 days rest for game 1 or game 2.

That run should have produced more than one title.

It’s also marred with low spots.

The high point 08 run 09 NC, then our 13 year, and 17.

Unfortunately he decided to take off 2010 and 2011 and then the stony brook cucking happened and we also lost to Houston at home while in complete control.
