He also wasn't playing against the first team defense, either. There were 3rd and 4th stringers in at times.

The second series he was. Well we can't even say that either because I know a lot of starters were held out of the game for both teams. Listen we can debate this all day. The jags practiced all week in Foxboro with the Patriots and they said he is the real deal. Preseason is preseason and I will leave it at that. LF makes this team better IMHO.

Guess I have to provide the highlights since most people here just read stats

No doubt, but for OP to make some crazy claim like the patriots can't stop him when his stat line against the 2nd team wasn't even that great. Given how crappy the Jags o-line is, it isn't shabby, but excuse me if I choose to reserve judgement on how good he is until he's taking meaningful snaps agai st 1st team defenses.
He may be great, but I'm not going to start forming an opinion on him based on his performance against the 2nd team in the preseason.
Those lackluster performances against Alabama still stick out and make me wonder what he will do against 1st string defenses in the NFL.

Good stuff. Thanks for the link.

The video doesn't change the fact that he was running against scrubs. Not sure why you are having a hard time understanding that THAT is why we are skeptical. Yeah, his runs looked good--AGAINST BACKUPS.

We do agree on the title for this thread overblown he is definitely stoppable.

Thank you. That's all I'm saying.
If he goes out and runs off 150 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 1 against a real defense, and not backups, then yeah, the dude can run his mouth all he wants.

I don't think he should run his mouth at all. Let his play on field do the talking. If Bortles can turn it around LF will have good year if Bortles struggles it will be a long year for the jags and LF. Imho

So, after this first preseason game, I should consider my LF7 autographed helmet? Yeah, I'm rich...

You guys gotta remember that the jags depth at OL is not very good. LF played 2 series and the last one (where he didn't do that well) was with a bunch of guys that won't make the team.
That's great, but I don't think the Patriots started very many people that will actually be playing in a month.

Pats only played maybe 4-5 guys that were going to have a rotational role on the defense.

This is just my 2 cents, but I got the impression they were using LF7 in a very methodical way and LF7 was sticking to that. Hit the assignment and got positive yards.
There was nothing to complain about with that performance. Nothing at all.

With the context of the game in that his runs were for 1st downs keeping drives alive, its not that far off.
But we all have to complain about something I suppose.
