It looked like a makeup call for the "injury timeout". If not for that other call, it probably wouldn't have been flagged.

The sack / fumble was all JJ. He is just not good at getting rid of the ball and makes bad decisions. It looked like he thought about running there, changed his mind, then just dropped the ball instead of getting a safety. The announcers were commenting on how he carries the ball from the previous QB slide / near fumble.

PP kept us in the game by himself on his returns.

Ryan M was just so so except for 165 yds he got off of Hatcher being an asswipe on 2 plays

Isn't it amazing Petersen gets a 15 yard penalty for putting the ball in a players body but Petrino can berate the officials for over 3 minutes and have nothing happen to him and Arkansas can call 30-40 pass plays and not 1 holding call.

just dont see the hype on PP. top 5 pick - dont see it. ask Julio Jones how good PP is - ha - Julio schooled PP. Ole Miss went at PP also. Not unusual to see him get caught inside/get beat on runs around outside. poor effort from PP on play before the half. great on returns except when calling off team when he is not going to get to the punt. want to see him perform for lsu's sake but think hype has gone to his head.

has anyone else noticed that Peterson is below average on run support?

He might be the best run support CB I see in college football in a long time. He is as physical and fast on run support as there is in college or pros.

we lost that game long before we had that false hope.
that game was lost because of the end of the first half. That TD was the difference in the game

As soon as PP had to fair catch that last punt, we had no chance to win. No way we were driving down the field with or without the penalty. Unless PP breaks one there and gets us in FG range, it was over.

PP's play on special teams was the only reason we were in the game.

Yeah he lost his cool. He's never done that for us before. Just ugly ending to the game.

He did it earlier in the game. I also have seen him do it other times this season previously. I love PP. But, I have said a few times this year I cannot believe they don't call a penalty on him for doing that.

Chavis had a brain fart right before the half. 1% on Hatcher 99% is on Chavis for not playing prevent with deep safeties.

He's actually tossed the ball at an opposing player after a return/fair catch many times this season. That's the first time he's thrown it right up in someone's face, though.

Hatcher made a terrible play, but there was no excuse to not have four guys 45 yards off the ball on that play.

From Mel Kiper

quote:

And have a happy Thanksgiving.

Andrew Luck * QB6-4235 Analysis: With a comp. percentage up a full 10 points, he balances improvement and refinement. Question is whether the top pick-holder needs a QB. Last week: No. 1

Da'Quan Bowers * DE6-4277Analysis: His 23 TFL have created minus-150 yards. A tremendous physical talent, who has shown a steady relentlessness this year. Biggest riser all year. Last week: No. 3

A.J. Green * WR6-4207 Analysis: Green has been mostly unstoppable even with a young QB and was totally dominant on a big stage Saturday, which I discuss here. Last week: No. 2

Patrick Peterson * CB6-1211Analysis: More than a freak athlete, Peterson has continued to improve his technical cover skills. Mixed reports on exact size but has safety size, corner speed. Last week: No. 4

Prince Amukamara CB6-1202Analysis: I'd be more concerned about Amukamara's zero interceptions in 2010 if any quarterback was willing to challenge him. A gifted technician. Last week: No. 5
