hatcher is a terrible pass coverage safety. he has to be moved next year just as coleman was moved. It becoming clearer that LOSTON will be a starter next year.

they don't play the same position

So let me get this straight, Hatcher was playing free safety on that play and not Chad Jones? No one should ever get behind the free safety by definition alone. He or she is the last line of defense.

that's part of the problem with this LSU team. We have so many "so called" wannabe superstars on this team that they all "have a want" to show their individual talent instead of playing as one unit. LSU HASN'T PLAYED AS A TEAM SINCE SABAN LEFT. YEAH I SAID IT!

Patrick Peterson is overrated and will never make it pass being an "C-" college player.

NFL will never take someone his size. Not enough quickness, strength and speed. Not to mention his lack of mental ability to play the proper coverage and not be the most selfish idiot on the field.

Most overrated player in college football since Mike Williams.

For what it is worth I would put PP on the other teams best receiver man to man, every play, every game.

Patrick Peterson could start for at least 10 NFL teams TODAY!

Are you seriuos, he is 1st team all American and other teams DON't EVEN THROW HIS WAY!!

He is, by far, the best corner in the SEC if not the entire nation.

Look at your profile pic, that is the only thing that rates a "c" or worse. Love it when someone who knows nothing tries to talk football.

He would go TOP 10 in the NFL draft were he able to come out this year.

Chavis' defenses weren't particularly disciplined at Tennessee.

Not if it cost LSU points. I think he is the best corner in college.

You have to be joking....if not you have clearly never played or watched football on a regular basis. This kid is gonna be sick in the pros....like others said he was just playing way to aggressive on the run but that is because mcluster was running all over us.

Hes a man to man guy forcing to play zone so hes going to make mistakes. Its like Chavis had this big zone gameplan to help with the run and it hurt us.

LOL. PP is what 19 years old? 20? He is a sophomore. He's considered by many to be the #1 CB in the nation from Freshman(RS) - SR (RS) and also expected to be the #1 defensive back in the draft. Ofcourse this could be speculation but...

LINK

To say the NFL wouldn't take him is quite possible the most ignorant statement I've seen on this site for a long time. He's big, tall, and he has long arms. QBs in the NFL can exploit reciever vs cb height / vertical match ups all day long. PP is a picture perfect NFL cornerback and the best defensive player LSU has. (Assuming that Loston was redshirted because they did NOT need him this year... which is reasonable seeing as how our defense is in the top 10 in the country)

As far as Chavis's defenses not being disciplined... call it what you want. He runs agressive blitz defenses that once again compete for a spot in the top 10 defenses in the nation HIS FIRST YEAR HERE.
-Our defense would be a top 3 or 5 defense in the nation if it had an offense that could pick up a few first downs and give those guys a breather and not force them to stay on the field for upwards of 60- 68% of the game

Stop the hate on PP as a defender knowing how inept we were sat night he was trying to make something happen defensively Lord knows our offense couldn't score! Overrated you just need to watch a little more football and realize how good he really is! He blankets AJ and Julio now he is overrated please just leave!

The guy is kidding. Right?

And for the folks saying PP didn't play well...
Yes, he did make a mistake that almost cost a score (poor throw by Snead). They sent two guys in his zone and he made a mistake. No corner goes through the season without getting beaten. Not Deion Sanders. Nobody. PP's still the best corner I've seen in a while.

And, BTW, you do remember that he scored a touchdown, right?

As for the halfback pass...not sure if that was his fault. Looked like they were in a 2 deep zone (FS and SS both 10+ yds off the ball).
