I would have just expected more out of a #1 and #2 national seed the last two years. But hey, I'm just a mad bammer. I mean why throw all that money into a sport that loses money anyway, if the guy is going to turn around and leave. I'm wondering if he was negotiating from the dugout while in Oklahoma City.

In 7 WCWS appearances at Alabama, this year's 3rd place finish was his best.
Look, it ain't so much him leaving that's bad. I could have understood taking over a more "traditional program" that's had success in the WCWS. However, LSU is just Alabama. They've both had about the same success over the years.

If Murphy was not a good coach, how many times did Bama win the SEC in softball before he arrived?
How many times did Bama make it to the WCWS?
Bama was a zero program before he arrived. If he was not adequate for Bama, who would be?
He coached the #3 team in America. Bama is now gonna hire #1 or #2?

Habetz is the hitting coach and they can hit at Bama. Now if she comes with him fine but Bama may hire her to be the head coach. Any word if she is coming with him?

Well, to be fair the program was started in 1996. He became head coach in 1998.
