I think it's a strecth to say this year's d is better. We haven't faced an offensive line worth a frick yet. Including our own apparently.

At this point its more than a stretch...its the freakin flat out truth. It will remain the truth till they prove otherwise.

I'm assuming you just replied to the last post and not necessarily to me because I didnt say a word about our current defense

One of the many reason I quit listening to the "Alabama is Awesome and the rest of the world can pack it in" radio show. Love Sirius radio but not that stupid show. Just couldn't take Saban worship after a while.

Who knows if we could beat Bama right now? No one does, period! Most people thought we would lose to them in BDS last year because they were just too powerful and had the almighty Saban as coach with a statue nonetheless. But we did. The reason they missed those loooooong field goals is because the LSU defense didn't let them get any closer!

I'm not overly impressed with Alabama's wins right now; Michigan and Arkansas? Really? Those are top teams to hang your hat on that you've played someone? Last time I checked Washington was 2-1, Michigan 2-2 and Arkansas 1-3. I'm not saying Bama is not good but if they feel that makes them the greatest, let them believe that.

If we win our games, no matter where we play or the margin of victory we WILL play for the NC. Just like Alabama we haven't earned anything yet. I hope Alabama feels like they've already earned it and games are a mere formality.

Lol LSU may very lose a game but probably not to Alabama.

It's going to be just like last time they came to LSU.

Uga Grad Pat Dye speaks from neither a glass that's half empty nor half full. It empty cuz his drunkard arse drank it dry. And his 2 ranked uga has a strength of schedule worse than ours.

We surely have the ability to beat Bama on any given day.

Agreed here is the God's honest truth. If we play bama 10 times they would get the best of us. Saban is just alittle better, but we have equal talent and we only have to beat them once.

Who was that fat bastard who blocked it? I assume he has eaten himself out of the NFL as I didn't see him playing for Baltimore last night.

I think he started a winery...

I guess it's typical that all of the LSU haters assume LSU will not improve as the season progresses, meanwhile, everyone playing LSU will continue to improve dramtically and guaranteed to play their best game....lol......what a joke

Pat Dye on Finebaum: No way LSU can beat Alabama

By the time Finebaum takes the airwaves, Pat is deep into his forth or fifth toddy and will say anything for Paul's entertainment.

If LSU plays like it did against Auburn, he's right.

What Dye said was that there was no way that LSU could beat Bama without a more effective passing game. I think most people would agree with that statement.

meh... we did it last year...

Since you asked for it, 21-0.

Kind of dumb to mention the rematch (highly uncommon in college football) without mentioning the first game which LSU won on the road. We'll assume you were trolling instead of lacking basic intelligence.

I don't think that Mett is a real threat to run the option, (LSU's only successful running plays) which combined with Bama missing 4 field goals was the reason LSU won the first game.

You assume that LSU would not have had a passing game at least equal to what McCarron provided in the rematch against Bama if Mett wasn't playing. A passing threat would have opened up the running game and provided balance, even against Bama, because LSU has elite players.

. Mett was underwhelming in his first SEC road game, but it was in part due to the short leash he was on as far as playcalling goes. I think LSU has lost a lot from last year's team, when you look at 4 of their 6 top DB's, Faulk and their secondary coach. The one upgrade LSU was supposed to have was at QB, but thru 4 games he is rated lower than Jarret Lee was last year. There is no doubt that Mett has more arm talent, but he has a ways to go to demonstrate that he is a significantly better QB. He has eight more regular season games to demonstrate that he is superior to previous QBs, and I am certain that his performance will improve. His O-Line and receivers are not giving him as much help as they could.

He's right.

I fully expect a game identical to the regular season game last year.

Alabama is CLEARLY the best team in the nation.

I mean this past weekend, Denard Robinson showed why he was the leading heisman contender.

What a game THAT guy had, he threw 4 touchdowns.

It was a fluke that Bama destroyed him.
