Not to let out my secret but parked at the South side monorail lot in 2014 (Fannin St South) and was like $15 included the round trip on the train. As mentioned everyone and grandma going back up north to the city after game but sidestepped them and got on the southbound no problem. The traffic out of the lot was very easy and once out went east I believe to 285 I think it is and was no traffic. Just a little hint

They may do something similar to what they did when the USMNT played Argentina in the Copa America Semis last year. They had like 20 busses ready to go. They headed straight downtown without stopping. Even if you parked in Midtown, it would be easier to get an Uber back to Midtown than wait for the metro.

I'm not sure you'll want to walk the NRG area at night. Just sayin...

I just drove and paid for parking for the Wisconsin game. Got there several hours before. No pass, no problem. Leaving was not difficult.

It depends, all the people go north towards downtown, if you park South off of Belfort the train isn't bad at all, that's what I do and never had an issue

Its alot closer than thats Its more like .5 miles and a very good decision.

Stay closer to the stadium, take the rail into midtown on friday night then uber back then saturday just stay near the stadium all day, about 6 pm go back, shower and get ready to go to the game.

Red, Green, Platinum lots?

Anyone parked here? Worth the $$? Relatives who live outside of Houston was talking about the train. Sounds like a disaster after the game.

There is a Crowne Plaza that is literally across the street from the stadium.

I guess I'm the anomaly with the train. We stayed till 00:00 vs. Wisconsin, were in the 500's, walked down the ramps and around the astrodome and got in line. We were on the second train northbound. Yes, it was cramped until Midtown but it wasn't terrible.

You probably beat most of the crowd there. It was a cluster F after Wisky game.

I'm staying at the Courtyard by Marriot about a mile from the stadium. I'm just gonna walk back to my hotel. Just gotta make sure to have cold beers waiting on me.

I'm not worried about the area, there will probably be thousands of Tiger fans walking back to their hotels at the same time.
