The SEC leads the Pac-10 62-39-5 (.608) all time. However, over the past 12 years (1998 - 2009), the Pac-10 actually leads the SEC 11-9 (.550).

The Pac-10's 3rd best team is 8-5

From top to bottom, SEC >>>>>>>>>>>> Pac-10 and its not even close. You're a fool if you think otherwise.

Seems like this is mostly Tennessee's fault. They've really been owned lately.

playing teams at or near the bottom of the SEC.

It is about time a top tier PAC 10 meets a top tier SEC on the field.

The SEC also brags about having the best game environments, but that was before the emergence of Oregon's Autzen Stadium. With the noise and proximity of fans, Autzen is now generally considered college football's toughest venue. I've been to most of the SEC joints, and none of them are filled with the same constant roar and visible oppression. And, sure, places such as Alabama and Florida and Tennessee are draped in tradition, but nowhere in the SEC can you find the history of the Coliseum, the majesty of the Rose Bowl or the sheer beauty of Washington's Husky Stadium.

"We were overwhelmed all week by talk of LSU's culture of tailgating. Blah. Blah. Blah. How much different can it be then at Oregon and Washington, the Pac-10's standard-setters for tailgating? The answer is... THIS MUCH. It lived up to the talk. A one-mile radius of Tiger Stadium was bumper-to-bumper, tent-to-tent tailgating, from sunup to kickoff. Awesome."

Plaschke is borderline retarded. He simply wants to stir the pot. If Oregon wins, it will be the PAC 10's first legitimate, as decided by the NCAA's punishment of USC, BCS title. SEC has 6. Oh, and we have the most BCS bowl game wins (14). No other conference has dominated the college football landscape like the SEC in the last decade or so. If Oregon wins, I'd shake their hand and tell them "Job well done. You beat our best." If Auburn wins, I'd burn the AU insignia in Plaschke's forehead and tell him to shut his trap. To the Oregon fans, I'd shake their hands and tell them "Good luck next year. Can't wait to see you in Jerry-World."

Plaschke is a hack. Even USC and PAC 10 fans can't stand him. He's just another example of writers turning away from fact finding journalism and instead trying to stir the pot and seeing how many responses they can get.

Gimme Peter Finney over that guy ANY day.

Lets see what he says if Miles leaves and LSU offers up to Kelly and Kelly takes it. Let's see what he has to say about PAC-10 superiority then. Not that I'm a fan of a coaching change, but that would be very ironic and hilarious.

Just for shits and giggles I wrote this.

As I'm sitting at my Waffle House substitute, Georgia Diner, in Queens, NY, (and eating very well I might add) I ponder how I should respond to your cute rant about how the Pac 10 will dominate the SEC Champ.

Then I think about last night's game: The images of a high powered Pac 10, getting dominated at the line of scrimmage by a middle tier SEC defense. I mean come on, the point a minute offense couldn't score from the 1 yard line?? Oregon played a tough game though. Ok, i'm just being nice. Auburn would've stomped them if Cam Newton was actually on target with his passes.

Welcome to SEC football son. You're just a spectator in our world. Thank you for your interest in the Southeastern Conference, enjoy the show!

Take that in your Mel's Diner and smoke it.

With regards,
SEC and LSU fan
