We left at least 10 to 14 points on the feild

508 yards and only 23 points is not good enough to beat Bama or win a title.

I think we will figure it out...

I thought we should have been up 21-3 at half.

Auburn isn't very good offensively..

That said I think they are better than Alabama's defense...so its going to be a fun game...one for the history books.

I think we should start using TDP more on short yardage situations

Yeah. Steve wasn’t very creative near the goal line either. Again.
They need to figure out a way to get a FB involved in the shotgun to lead block. It’s a losing scenario to try and power run the way they were doing it yesterday.

Looked like Les Miles era. Playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Almost cost us.

This. His running style suits short yardage and goal line better imo. One cut and north/south. And he always falls forward.

I don’t understand why we ran the zone read out of the bunch formation so many times inside the 5. Spread them out and don’t let them put 10 guys at the LOS. Especially that group. Spread them out at least once. The 4th down pass should’ve happened on 1st down to put that in their heads then hit them with a zone or another quick pass. Auburn’s D just crashes on the snap every time. I have to think that will get better and Brady will step in. No way that kid called the red zone plays.

What’s worse is that he kept running right into the teeth of their strength. They’ve got two first day draft pics on the line and we kept slamming into it. That goal line series was inexcusable.

What happened to our quick slants at the goal line? These worked so well early in the season and I expected more especially now that Marshall is back.

We ran into the heart of their defense over and over again. We needed to at least stretch them to the edge of the tackle box and not wait until 4th down to try something creative.

Guards couldn’t get any push to run in A/B gaps.

I’m surprised we haven’t installed some type of Wildcat series for situations like that. We ran it with Clyde last year. Let him read with TDP back there and at least run to the A/B gap away from the stunt, MLB fill.

This
To allow AU to stack the middle and not spread em was frustrating to say the least. Hell at that point you release Moss and float one to the back of the ez.

That 4th down play was not creative imo. From that formation you knew what play was coming. They ran it int he first game and the saints run it all the time. Still very hard to defend even if you know it is coming. That was great defense.

Yes. Same play Marshall scored in the GA Southern game. It’s awesome when it works, awful when it doesn’t. Same can be said if any play that you draw up.

I’m guessing we’ll see some more imagination in the future.

I always liked CEH taking direct snaps. The guy knows how to get that extra yard.

Short yardage yur not gonna be able to run up the middle against that D-line period. Just was not happening.

Didn't like the play calling. Basically running into the strength of their D. Play calling could have been better.

Still like Sullivan in there for his height on short yardage and goal line situations.
