who cares what some guy picks in an upcoming football game. i'll bet you this guy doesn't bet his mortgage on that pick. looking at this series since saban has returned should turn away any big dollar wagering on either side unless the bettor is very rich or very stupid.

But this guy has never, NEVER, EVER said one syllabale positive about LSU. Not even neutral or just uniformed ignorance - just unabashed contempt, seeming vindictiveness.

That is because he is a douchebag that is still butt hurt over the raping that we gave his buckeyes in January of 2008.

We should not stoop to his level of douchebaggery and act butt hurt everytime he says someone is going to beat us.

He probably thought Ohio State was going to beat us also

Robert wasn't the only person to predict Alabama to win the S.E.C. Last night, the three white guys on ESPNU went with bama also.

Whenever you see "Smith," just substitute "Dumbass." It works most of the time.

i.e., Robert Dumbass
Stephen A. Dumbass
Anna Nicole Dumbass

Apologies to all you Dumbasses out there.

I don't get the love for Bama this season. The Tide lost waaaayyyyyy too much from its defense last season, it has a starting RB with a history of injury problems, and unproven WRs. It has a great O-line and a solid QB - that's it.

I say Bama finishes behind Arky and Auburn.

I'm surprised Robert Smith is still employed by ESPN after he went on a political rant against GWB back when he was president. I remember watching live and thinking how utterly unprofessional it was at the time and amazingly he still is with ESPN today. His top 5 from preseason 2011 look really awesome in hindsight.........

It's actually makes perfect sense. Ever heard of the liberal media bias and political correctness to name a few? Understand ESPN is owned by ABC and Disney is all you need to know.

While it's very good and "correct" for Robert Smith to make Political comments about Bush, Limbaugh got the axe for making his comments about McNabb,Hank Williams Jr. Making his comments about the president were bad enough to get him canned as well. It's just par for the course. One is "free speech" the other is "offensive rethoric".

An entire null set of f***s should be given about this half breed's predictions.

Don't get me wrong. I hate the dude, and have gone as far as wishing cancer of the heart on him.

Just saying.

He picked the BCS National Champs. Big deal. Alabama has a great offense and a quarterback who can make things happen. Besides, what do I care? I know they are not leaving Baton Rouge with a "W".

Why are some LSU fans so butthurt if EVERYONE doesn't pick LSU to win it all?

Because we have owned Alabama the last 9 of the last 12 meetings...Beaten them two seasons in a row and are playing at home with a better team this year than last years..

Stupid prediction given the added motivation that will be on LSU's side this time around...oh yeah, we are playing at home too

home field hasn't meant as much in this series, but LSU wants this game badly..

and to go undefeated. Total shocker. Just saw it on ESPN U. what a pile of wet goat shite.

How is he wrong?

We all saw last year what happens when LSU beats them. No matter the outcome of the game, LSU loses. That is a fact.

Robert Smith has the luxury of knowing his network will prove him right.
