oh lord, the open competition thing again.
you are accusing PM of not knowing his pitchers as well as you do. you are accusing PM of sacrificing the team because of his "loyalty" to some players. this isn't summer league ball man.
Mainieri's accomplishments speak for themselves. maybe you should review them and compare them to other coaches.
we lose on fricking game. one of our SP's has a rough outing. now, PM sucks. you do realize our hitters only got 2 runs last night don't you? all in one friggin' inning. maybe they are the reason we lost; they didn't cover the pitchers arse when he had an off night.

wtf is an open competition? let's set this open competition up at the box. each pitcher on our team throws a certain amount of pitches and then the fans vote of the SP's.
or we could save a lot of time and just print ballots and let our fans select them.
or we could let the man responsible for the team, the man that is one of the most successful HC's in the business, decide who should pitch.
this ain't a fricking beauty contest idiot.

Coach paul has won a national title at lsu and just played for another last year. The list of schools that would hire him to coach their program would wrap around the block and down the street. Its march and we have had some shaky outings. Sounds like every year lsu has ever played baseball to be honest.

What's funny is all these people melting were never in any of the preseason baseball threads. They only showed up when the game was on tv and we lost. It almost makes me wish the games weren't on regular TV.

Seriously. Our Friday night guy, gave up 4 runs on two swings despite not being able to get his breaking ball going, against the #7 team in the country.
