Is it not a fact that there were tons of threads started daily about keeping Bama out of the playoffs?

Is it not a fact that nearly all of those threads stopped when Tua got hurt?

Why is that? Bama has just as much of a shot as making the playoffs as they did before Tua's injury. That's also a fact.

No jackass, I’m telling you you’re wasting your time acting indignant and shocked because people on a message board built on bitching are bitching.

Or maybe I'm bored and want to do a little bitching of my own. Is that not allowed? Or does the bitching have to be only about certain things?

He's an alter who didn't honor a ban bet, and spent two years complained no about the program.

It's laughable.

Why are people pretending that this thread was created to say that the defense is perfectly fine, and has zero issues?

Our fans just love to bitch.

Some do it because they think it makes them look like a smart football expert.

Some are just insecure and miserable.

Some are simply dumb.

This thread was created for you to feel superior to other fans as if you are so high-minded that you wouldnt dare criticize any aspect of the team during such a glorious run. It was also a subtle "look how long i've been here" brag. It was created to get upvotes.

You aren't smart enough to really have a discussion on anything so this is what we get.

lets not get this twisted. you are complaining about people complaining about the defense while ignoring this is a FREE board which will bring in all types of opinions. Not every opinion is equal and while a minority make a lot of noise, they do not need more attention with threads started on how they should feel.

this isn't new, people overact on the internet and about their football team.

Well this is wrong. So stick to hall-monitoring and leave the discussion to people who know what they are talking about.

Tell me what's wrong about it?

If Oregon or Oklahoma wins out, they are in the playoffs over Bama. Before the Tua injury, or after the injury.

If Utah or Baylor win out that was going to be a total toss up, regardless of Tua. I think Bama is in if this plays out still.

Well that's funny, because I said exactly this in this very thread.

quote:

I think every rationale fan (even though there aren't many here) have seen enough of the defense to know that they are not as good as defenses we have had in the past. I don't think there is any denying that.

However, we have seen this defense rise to the occasion in many big instances. Texas was shut down for a half. Florida was shut down for a half. Bama was shut down for a half. Auburn was held in check. They have shown up in the biggest moments, which tells me that our defense isn't AS BAD as some people on this board think.

Why are we only able to do it for a half is a better question? I'm not sure if we are getting a lead, and then letting off the gas maybe, or changing something up to try to force long drives. I'm not a defensive guru, so I really don't have the answer.

I think Ole Miss was more of a let down game for the defense than anything. It was just uninspired football. We have the luxury of having a cat on offense, named Joe Burrow, who doesn't have that let down game in him. Maybe the defense is lacking that type of leader (ala Devin White).

I don't know what the answer is, and I'm not here saying that our defense is amazing either. I'm just pointing to the trends I see on this board

But yep... I'm too "high-minded" to criticize.

It's the same scenario going into the weekend

A 1 loss conference champion gets in over Bama ...w or wo tua

Need Oklahoma or Baylor or Oregon or utah to win out for Bama to stay home . They all lose again and Bama is in

You are truly an idiot if this is the way you feel. Only the lowest of the low on this board get validation by clicking an up or down vote button. I don't up/down vote many threads, and I don't give a shite what button morons like you press.

That's my point as well. I just am not as confident in Baylor or Utah getting in over Bama as I am with Oregon/OU. The SECCG and the Big 10 can still shake this up a whole lot too. Regardless, I don't think Bama is any more in, or out, of it than they were before Tua got hurt. This could change with their play against Auburn, for the better or the worse.

Not everyone. There are some very smart people on this board, who provide great insight (whether I agree or not). You though? Yeah, I think I'm above you. You have shown yourself to be a idiot in this thread.
