This. I think about how eagerly I consumed all news LSU football just 10 years ago. Followed every recruit. I was an easy buy for Christmas and birthdays, just find something with 'LSU' stamped on it. Now? I don't even know who our next opponent is week to week.
This is merely my Sunday 15 minute browse of the Rant on the way to the PT board. So we lost to Auburn. Huh. Ya hate to see it.

20+ years ago the student body started leaving early, then even earlier.
This probably isn’t a popular opinion but honestly, I think the student body catches more shite than they deserve for leaving early.
They may not be the first ones on campus, but once they get there they are going as hard as anyone. Then they are getting in line to enter the stadium at like 3-4 PM for a 6:30 kickoff. Once the game starts they are standing and yelling the whole time (the enthusiasm might vary by game but again, they go just as hard as anyone else in the stadium).
By the time the 4th quarter comes around most of these kids are hung over (unlike the rest of us, they can’t keep drinking at the game and they get patted down on entry) and have been at the stadium for 5+ hours. And from what I’ve seen, they still show up and stick around at a higher rate than everyone else. In other words, if the student section is 50% full in the 4th quarter then 9 times out of 10 the overall stadium is less than 50%.
I don’t know why people expect students to be there for 6 hours when so many fans that paid much more for tickets won’t stay for 4 hours.

Covid and Woke culture has given the Mike Tyson uppercut to LSU football culture

Ms State Stadium is perfect, good size, nice bathrooms clean and large. Clean Concourse.
Good traffic flow

The 8 pm kick off didn’t do any favors either. Lots of passionate fans go and bring young children (future tiger fans). Blame TV if you’re going to point the finger. Trying to find the west coast market for an sec game is not important to me. Likely a full stadium in the fourth if it’s a 6 o’clock kickoff. The game didn’t end until 11:45 or so.

5-5 and a loss to Auburn and UCLA will do that

Had people in from out of town and was embarrassed when they asked why so many people were leaving in the 4th quarter of a 1 score game against a rival.

The on field product was the real disgrace.

It’s not why we lost

Got to car at 12:30 and sat in parking lot for over an hour. By the time we inched to Brightside and Nicholson there were no cops to be seen and traffic lights were working as normal. Ridiculous! Got home to Metairie at 3:45am. Season ticket holder since the early 90s. Never leave early, but now starting to understand why so many do. Traffic is major issue and LSU needs to fix it.

I don’t go to the games, but if I did, I’m sure I’d be out before end of 3rd quarter with kids and wife getting cranky. Can’t imagine staying until midnight + traffic time to be honest. The thought of staying the entire game would not even cross my mind. That has nothing to do with the product on field and leadership. Add the rest of the BS and you’d have to pay me to attend that racket of a program.

The Tuscaloosa post is not true at all.
