I only have doubts about our offense. If our defense can score we will win. I don't think thats being negative, our offense is shite and if you can't see that you are blind.

Possible, yes. And I will be screaming the entire time to do so. Probable? Prolly not.

Hey genius, how will be able to score points on the #1 defense in the country when we had trouble scoring on Auburn and aTm? I would love to here this

Well we are totally different on offense at home, with an improving O-line and ground game. We will rely on our Defense to help us out with some short fields and possibly turnovers. Alabama hasn't truly been tested on the road against top competetion in quite some time.

Are you already conceding a shutout?

For you nega-rantards who may not be old enough to remember ...one game to call out...a visit by the #1 rated USC Trojans to Tiger Stadium in 1979 that transformed it into DEATH VALLEY. We were 15 point dogs against a supposed invincible dominant team with 8 future NFL #1 draft choices lined up against us. In all my years, that was the loudest, most raucous, intense night of football in our storied history. The fans brought it from start to finish. The team played gloriously leaving it all on the field. We may have lost (to this day, it was a TERRIBLE face mask call on a 4th down with 1 1/2 mins left that gave USC one last chance to win). But I have never been more proud to be a Tiger.

Heck...now we are #5 rated with more equal talent to BAMA rated #1. It is not as Herculean as that foggy night in 1979. We can WIN, but we need everyone with that mindset going nuts at this game.

Geaux Tigers!!!!

Honestly, its people like this who need to grow a pair. This whole "We are LSU" macho-ism is kind of retarded, if you ask me. Do I think we're a good enough football team to beat Bama. Actually, I dont. To call me, and others who actually watch football and arent blinded by purple and gold homer-ism, less of a fan because of it, then you're the one that needs help. I'll be there cheering just as hard. I hope we win. But we're the underdog for a reason.

The most honest and realistic post so far.Sometimes as fans we have a hard time accepting reality.I like most people on this board bleed Purple & Gold but we have to face the fact that Alabama is playing great football on both sides of the ball.If you watch Alabama's O-Line, they pass protect better than our O-Line.If we are to win the game , the O-Line will be the key to victory.Just because one feels that Alabama will win doesn't mean they hate LSU.This is an opinion board and everyone is entitled to his or her opinion.

Man I agree 100% with you and the guy you were quoting. Normally during the day I feel like the median age of users on here is at about 30, but today it feel like it's at about 10.

The people who are being cautiously optimistic have kept it tame. The purple and gold glasses wearing homers are the ones dropping a whole bunch of "retard", "negatiger", "sell your tickets then", "quit sucking Saban's dick", etc. etc. etc.

Again, what is the point in making all of these obvious observations. I'm not a big ra ra guy but come the frick on, all of the negative captain obvious posters out there just give it a rest. You massicists just love to prove to everyone that we are no good on offense and don't stand a chance. Why?

Please, I beg, just enjoy it. Enjoy everything that comes with the herculean buildup to kickoff in Tiger Stadium and enjoy the subsequent insane atmosphere that will follow.

Touting the obvious offensive woes from the mountaintops will not change anything. It's in Miles and his boy's hands now. They all live for this night and Tiger fans are no different.

I just don't understand why any LSU fans would put all this time and energy into being negative, it's only going to take the fun out of this week. Alabama week has been the most hyped game/week since 08, might as well embrace it and talk shite, show some homer optimism, and tell every Bama fan you see on Saturday how Mett is about to go for 300 yards and 3 td's on them. Is that likely? Obviously not but if we do end up getting killed then you can come on here next week and complain about the offense and coaching and whatever else you think is wrong with the program. But why do all of that before the game?

While I agree some people have jumped off the deep end, it's the Rant....that's what it's for. If it bothers you that much then look at something else.

If you don't have the 'chest' to handle it then...oh well.

I see nothing wrong with realistic analysis with fellow tiger fans during the week.

Blast the gumps on here all you want.

Then ... come saturday ... get your drink on ... and then talk shiite and pump that sunshine about "punch in yo mouf" and "bleed P&G" and rah rah and all that. Everyone can be a bad-arse mofo and be ready to whip some gump arse.

It's Monday ... pace yourself.

What they mean to do is jump into every thread and make sure anyone that is hasn't given up a week ahead of time starts to doubt the team enough that we feel like them and concede the game already.

You know how it is Prom. Some people concede early so that the loss is easier on them mentally. Mental midgets you might say. Some are actually watching both teams and forming an educated opinion. Either way, its hard to tell between the two.

If you "actually watch football", then you should know that LSU hasn't loss at home since 10-10-09 and in the last 3 yrs LSU ranks in the Top 3 for wins overall among all BCS programs.

Anyone can lose at home...Bama proved that just last season, but for petes sake...if we can't have/are not deserving of some LSU "macho-ism" after our recent history of success at home we will never/have never deserved it.

Grow a pair indeed.

All of the people "keeping it real"....Maybe YOU guys are the ones taking this game too seriously. It is a freaking football game. Don't we all have jobs and careers where we get to "keep it real" every single day? I know I do. If we win we win, GREAT. If we lose oh well. Life goes on and at least we'll hopefully have a competitive contest.

I watch sports for the escape, not to find something else I have to take too seriously.
