Awwwwwwwwful lot of Jrs and Sos on that list. Hope that inexperience doesn't burn us.

Our dts
Brockers So that came on towards end of last year
Freak True F that has never seen an sec guard
Downs Jr that gets pushed around if he goes too many series in a row
Logan So undersized backup
Ego RFr who barely played
Thomas True F who won't see the field
Brockers or Freak go down and we are in a world of hurt
Hate to say it, but Mickey Johnson not getting cleared is a huge issue this year.

I'd love to make it to Tiger stadium at some point.

Not really. He wouldn't have stepped in and been in the top 3 or 4 anyway. The only way him not being eligible becomes an issue is if the position gets hit by a rash of injuries, not just a single injury to Brockers or the other Johnson.

smallish IMO but quick
So we keep all our des and we actually gain wait at the tackles. So we are actually bigger than last year.
Pep was at about 280, nevis 285.
Freak is at 310,other than dport, when is the last time we had a guy start lsu at that size?

I would say that DLINE was a concern for the Ducks coming into this game. However, I am officially excited about our oline. For the firs time three year we'll rotate more than 7 guys and we won't struggle to stay at 285 in our interior.
Our mother fricking guard (CE Kaiser - yeah, I am looking at you) decided to go fricking vegetarian at the end of last year. Holmes and York were already 285 and Kaiser started dropping weight and couldn't replace the calories.

Slip him some protein shakes.

He graduated. He and Holmes at 285 were part of the interior that go manhandled.

Going to be hard to move Brockers/Johnson around at 310 each. Brockers is a legit 6'5-6'6 too, wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of batted balls down this year by him.
I think it speaks volumes at how far along Freak is considering he is ahead of Downs as a Freshman. He'll have growing pains but you'll see him blow plays up this year. Downs is really not a bad DT if he can stay healthy.

Is it official that Freak is holding down a starting spot?

Btw, I think weight is overplayed. Practically every DT combo is going to be 300 pounds on average in D1 football.

Not yet but he probably will. He is running with 1s. I don't think any question he is physically ready, it is just the mental aspect. If he is sitting at 1s, then LSU obviously feels it is worth the risk putting him in the middle. Considering how decorated he was in HS, not really surprising. He also sits high on all the physical tests so far, usually in the top 5 on the team as a freshman. He is very strong. He looked pretty good in the spring game to me too. Looks like LSU might be trying to get Collins on the field earlier too. He was running with 1s at G too.

Collins is running with the ones because of attrition, right?
Posted on 8/23/11 at 10:54 pm to mule74
I'll take these 4 to start and be extremely pleased to see the others rotate in also:
56 Anthony Johnson (T) - 6-3, 310, Fr.
90 Michael Brockers (T) - 6-6, 305, So.
94 Kendrick Adams (E) - 6-5, 255, Sr.
99 Sam Montgomery (E) - 6-4, 245, So

No Collins is running with the ones because Blackwell is hurt and the coaches want to get him on the field as much as possible. I mean he is a lean 315 if there is such a thing lol
Posted on 8/23/11 at 10:58 pm to bisonduck
No, injuries right now. But they moved him to G in order to get him on the field faster. Supposedly looked good in the scrimmage.
Posted on 8/23/11 at 11:00 pm to LSUtigafan08
He is pretty cut, looks like he can add A LOT of weight. I'd be surprised to see him stay at G though. I think he'll eventually move back to T.

Isn't Josh Dworaczyk out as well? Are these guys out for Oregon or just dinged up and giving some other guys reps.
