I've read his posts. He isn't objective when it comes to O. Meanwhile, I'm all pro O yet I want him fired at 9-3. Go figure.

State had the best scoring defense in the country last year.

Les has never lost to Auburn at home but ok.

Really no way to know any of this, and it's really irrelevant. All that matters is what this coach is doing.

People want to bring up Les when it's convenient to make their points but when it comes to to good things he did it's "Why are you bringing him up, he's gone, get over it."

Well 2017 we weren’t a very good team. We had zero experience or depth. Since O has taken over he’s fixed or is on his way to fixing these issues.

Last year we shouldn’t have lost to Florida or A&M but we also had some major injuries. If we had even a competent pass rusher to replace Chassion LSU wins both those games. Fact is that talent and depth matter and LSU has been missing these factors as of late. This year is a little different story. This is his 3rd year and in his 3rd-6th years I think we’ll see what type of coach Ed O really is.

The Troy loss was a turning point to that season. If we played Troy today we would stomp those guys. Plus Troy was a decent team that year. Full of veteran players and a QB to lead them. Most of our fire power was sitting the bench in this game. Y’all act like we have been losing games with all the odds in our favor. That’s just plain ignorant. We’ll see what happens this year and hopefully LSU can stay healthy. If we do stay healthy I think 11-1 is very very possible. In 2016 we showed that LSU wasn’t that far from Bama and played the toughest game I’ve seen us play against them in a good while that year.

I don’t see why we couldn’t do the same this year. Keep it close, play mistake free football, play tough, play smart and make plays when the opportunity comes. We have to make Bama start making the mistakes and take advantage of them when they do. This year could be the year. We’ll see.

Whoa... I think you may be getting a little ahead of yourself here. I hope he wins enough to be here for his 6th season, but that's a LONG way away.

It’s this year or busy for O.... Arenda not staying forever..... if his defense gets kept on the field this year like in years past he could bolt.....

He's not getting to a 6th season without some hardware, division title, conference title, a playoff berth, something.

He'll have all of his guys in place next season. How much more time does he need to make his mark?

Defense being left on the field is never a problem at LSU with the offenses it runs.

I hope that isn't a laughing matter, Roger. 5 years is a long time to be competing for championships and not win one of any kind at all.

Eta: Or are you laughing that it could be taken that he's saying there won't be any kind of championship?

It's about winning football games. IMO a good coach should be able to take the situation that Orgeron was handed and at least win a division title or make the playoffs within 5 years.
