Newsflash: we have some trashy fans.
Yes, we indeed have our share.
I was there in 2003. I was in the Quarter and saw nothing but people from both teams enjoying themselves. I tailgated with the Krewe of Ragoo and saw nothing terrible when OU stopped by out of curiosity.
I spoke with an older OU fan on the way out of the SUperDome and he was upset about some "of the rudest behavior" he had "ever witnessed". I told him that I was sorry if some fans got out of hand but it was not indicative of our fanbase. He shrugged and stormed off.
No one peed on an OU fan. No one abused little old ladies or innocent children. Bad behavior is one thing but the other shite described is pure fiction fabricated by a butthurt fanbase.

“On the morning of the game, my future wife, Margaret, and I were walking on Bourbon Street after brunch. We stopped at a store front for some window shopping. Suddenly Margaret tugged on my left arm saying in a wimpy voice, ‘Look at what they are doing with that OU flag.’ I looked over and saw a college-aged kid swabbing the OU flag back and forth in a slimy Bourbon Street puddle. With a strong shot of adrenaline and obviously without thinking, I ran over, knocked him to the ground, while saving the OU flag. While hugging the flag, I looked up to discover I was surrounded by at least a dozen LSU college kids, staring at me in shocked amazement. Unwilling to surrender the flag, I got into a Jimbo Elrod stance. With both hands gripping the flag tightly, I jumped around one direction at a time yelling, ‘Who wants this flag?’ Thankfully nobody took me up on the offer. After what seemed like several minutes, one of them said, ‘You crazy old man, you can keep you flag’. They all walked away, but we followed them for a couple of blocks waving the flag and yelling, ‘Boomer Sooner.’ Finally the adrenaline disappeared. Breathing heavily, I had to sit down on a bench. A couple of the LSU guys came back saying, ‘Sir, can we take a picture of you with your flag?’ We took the flag to the hotel room and let it soak in the bathtub to get the Bourbon Street smell out. The flag still hangs in our garage, 16 years later.”
I actually think I saw this. But it’s not how I recall it. My buddy and I were walking down bourbon from lafittes. Some old man had an OU flag on a pole or piece of wood like hacksaw Jim Dugan. He was waving it like some hillbilly around the gay section. He put it down on the side of a building to grab a drink from on of the bars selling drinks from the window. Some brave young man took the flag, waved it around, then drug it through the juices along bourbon street. The old man gave chase, but he was in a knee brace and began to cry. The kid then threw the flag back at the man noticing he was upset. Some homos from the gay bars came and consoled they old man to his liking. This is true.

Of a group of young LSU fans trying to urinate on a couple of OU coeds after the game.
If the LSU fans were LSU coeds then that would be pretty hot.

No doubt, the OU fan base was the most tight-assed, humorless fan base we’ve seen.
A lot of them are Baptists so that explains a lot.

They left out piss balloons.
Anyone remember when we picked up that elderly ole miss lady and threw her off the top of the student section onto the street?

Some of this shite is made up. They were pissed they lost. I was there. Never has a more arrogant, snooty fan base ever come to New Orleans. They thought there was as much chance of losing to LSU as Hillary Clinton's campaign thought the could lose to Trump. And just like Hillary's fan base they can't get over it. It's been 16 years. OU fans need to find something else to complain about.

My buddy is a trust fund kid from Oklahoma. He’s 70. During that weekend, he had a huge booster party at his house on burgundy. Oil money was all over. Many took their personal jets to the party.
It was a cold evening for the party. We wore coats to mingle with his guests. After a few drinks, my baw and i took our jackets off. We had custom made “oklahomo” shirts made for the weekend. It was funny seeing their reactions to how classy we are.
