Let's take a look at other perennial major winning programs that shite the bed this year. Ohio State, Michigan, Texas Tech, North Carolina, Oklahoma all could miss the NCAA tourney this year. North Carolina was a preseason #1 team. So do all of those teams fire their coach. I think not.

Just like all of you that care about LSU Basketball, I agree this season was tough to digest. But we have to give the coach a chance because guess what, he will be here for at least another 2-3 years. No way will they depart from him this year or even after the next season. Support our team and coach and hope for the turnaround of all turnarounds.

LSU fans bashing McMahon at every opportunity demanding his head today have an agenda and were never onboard to begin with. It’s like the Orgeron fans.

I’m not sure if it’s an accurate representation of our fans or just internet trolls but we’ve definitely got more than our share of people who would simply rather be right even if it means LSU sucks than be wrong and see us doing well.

Maybe it’s that uneducated, insecure and overall sense of inferiority that some of those folks have going on.

I’m inclined to think it’s just internet trolls

Either way, I was optimistic about McMahon and still think he could turn things around but it doesn’t look good and I think he’s got one more year to show a lot of improvement.

No value in constant shitting on the team. Seasons over. Either we get a lot better next year or he’s gone. No way the administration sits through another year of this without making a change.

Other? Doesn't that usually indicate there is a first you are comparing those others to?

I will give it to you and say this.....Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Ohio State may not be Blue Blood basketball programs, but Michigan is. I also said "perennial major winning programs". I believe all of those teams fit that bill. The point of the post was to show that great programs have down years. It just is what it is. All true fans still support the teams they love.

Perennial winning programs sure, but you only listed 1 “blue blood”. I also would say that we aren’t even a perennial winning program.

I agree they won't fire Hubert Davis, but if he doesn't straighten up the ship next year, he's going to start feeling serious heat. He's losing a lot from this years team, and I haven't heard much about recruiting, and the players remaining are aweful. So he better tighten up.

-Ohio State - 1st time in 5 years they aren’t going to the tournament

-Michigan - been to the elite 8 and sweet 16. This is his 1st year missing the NCAA tournament

-Texas Tech - they pretty much did fire their coach

-North Carolina - were n the championship game last year, bubble this year

-Oklahoma - a couple bad season but proven coach whose been to the final 4 and sweet sixteen in the past 5-6 years

None of those schools current situations are comparable.

Whoa! Orgeron's teams improved every year, until Woody gutted the team by hiring Pelini. He won a Natty In three years, best team ever.
Mulkey, BK, Johnson, and Mac, have two more years to match Orgeron. If not, Orgeron is in a class by himself.
The facts don't lie but fans do.

You Mac Fans better open your check books and buy him some players. If you want to know how to do it, call WW.

Lol

Everyone knows Joe Burrow was the reason for the season bruh. The gig is up. Orgeron can’t even pretend to be responsible for that anymore.

What you saw in 2020 and 2021 with no Burrow and no Aranda was Orgeron.

Other perennial blue bloods like Kansas, North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, and UCLA also have down years as well. We are no different of course. I look forward to seeing us back on top very soon.
