Obviously more than you

We just have a difference of opinion on his guilt.

Don't be upset, you fricked up then got a little heated.

It happens. I've done it and got roasted.

You’ve obviously skipped a majority of my post.
Most of what I posted was facts with little opinion.
I was wrong on an article because I skimmed it.
Nothing got heated on my end. You assumed the position of being an a-hole because you thought pointing out my one post with a mistake was a huge victory.

Nothing has changed on my end. The fact of why he took the plea deal is still there. His attorney admits giving him the advice to take the plea and then his reasoning. Which because the girl was about to speak in front a jury was pretty huge.
I mean I really don’t know what you’re actually arguing.
You think he’s guilty. Okay.

ETA: I’m actually over this thread. I wont read it anymore. Catch me on a new topic

She did tell her father and he took her to an advocacy center where a forensic interview of the child took place. That is where the legal proceedings began, with Dads report and two years after the divorce was finalized.

Thank you. This narrative that mom made the whole thing up has some serious flaws. Luke’s brother was the one who filed charges. He also severed all ties with his brother. That alone tells you that Luke’s own brother believed he was guilty.

So you’re arguing that bc he was going to lose in court, and he got a good plea deal, that bc he took it he’s innocent?

I'm talking as a cynical lawyer. Would he believe a criminal would open up about such a heinous act?

He's actually not a hardened criminal, if he really did it, he would just be a messed up, confused teenager, who typically had something similar done to him
In that instance under the deep evaluation of a psychiatrist, I actually would expect him to open up about it
whereas, a hardened criminal might not

dude no....I don't know about you as a 14 year old but I sure as shite knew molesting a 5-6 year old was uhhh...not cool. Don't even try and defend that shite man. I'm mostly of the belief that it takes a sick individual to do that. In jail for life? No but he definitely needs to be under close watch for the remainder of his days and never allowed around children alone.

I don’t think anyone here is defending this guy. That said, there IS a difference between doing this at 14 and as an adult. He should have been punished, and probably more severely than he was. I certainly don’t think he has any business on a baseball team, college or pro. I also don’t think you lock him up and throw away the key yet. If he’s a registered sex offender, that will follow him the rest of his life, and he will be watched closely. If he ever does anything again, he will go away for good.

To sum up, being in favor of a punishment that fits all aspects of the crime is different than defending this guy.

As for OSU, I can’t believe they let this guy back on the team, or that their fans accept this. I know Miles let Hill slide on some shady stuff a few years ago, but what he did was on another level. I definitely don’t think this would happen at LSU in any sport, but if it did, the coach in question probably wouldn’t survive the backlash. We would all riot over this.

I detest pedophiles and sex criminals. I do not have a dog in this fight. Having said that. First of all he plead guilty to a lesser offense. He got his punishment. Next it was...he said she said... with no other evidence. Who knows if it even happened or not.

You guys and others are convicting and ruining the life of a kid(14 or 15 at the time) based on coached testimony of a 4 to 6 year old. Anyway again I have no dog in the fight. I suggest toning it down and just playing the game.
