Rumor has it that Kiffin is interviewing for the Arkansas job.

If that happens, the SEC west will then have 4 of (arguably) the top 20 coaches in the country, all of which are considered ace recruiters AND coaches. If you weren't already nervous, you probably should be now.

Am I really supposed to be afraid of a 35-31 power 5 record?

when did Kiffin become a top 20 coach in the country? He's been fired from 3 of his last 4 jobs prior to taking over at FAU

Rumor has it that Kiffin is still a shill.
So there's that.

look at O's record

O's record is 31-32, so marginally worse. And no one is calling O a borderline top 20 coach

I did say arguably. Can't say he hasn't become a hot commodity with the success he's had at FAU.

You're the only one who I've ever seen argue Kiffin was a top 20 coach

being a hot commodity for programs searching for a coach is not the same thing as being a top 20 coach. He hasn't been garnering interest from top 20 programs unless those programs are desperate (UT)

Yeah, just like when A&M hired Sumlin (the original Tom Herman) who unlike Tom, had gone 13-1 in his final season at Houston.

Just like when Arkansas hired Bret Bielema who had just won 3 Big 10 championships in a row.

Saban I get. Who is the fourth? Gus?

But people know he's not worth a damn at potential powerhouse type schools. If you're afraid of kiffin going to Arkansas I can't imagine how you get through the day not cowering in fear.

hmm which program is a traditional powerhouse and which is a traditional doormat?

I wonder if Stoops would have had the same success had he coached at say Kansas instead of OU
