Wow, why some of you have so much hate for coaches who are Louisiana natives?

Actually it would be awesome for LSU to have a Louisiana native coach who was elite like Saban.

But just being from LA doesn’t make one elite. I’m sure Bama fans would love to have a Bama native that was like Saban. Saban isn’t from AL but they don’t give a frick.

9-4 with the worst SEC in a decade

but 6-2 in the SEC, best in years, with one of those losses to Bama (the eventual national champions this past season) and the other early in the season when youth, injuries, and supensions to the defense were killing us and Canada was trying to do to much to soon with the offense resulting in tons of penalties and a offense the players hadn't come close to mastering yet (before Coach O advised him to simplifiy it)

This is the best argument I’ve seen. But this year’s SEC was the worst in a decade. Miles could have done the same.

Isn’t that the point, to be better than Les?

les would have struggled with those "weak " teams like he always did especially towards the end of the season with his teams annual post bama game let downs when his teams seemed to give up.

But this didn’t happen in seasons when so many SEC teams fired their head coaches. What were their records this year?

He has to say that. 7 wins will get him fired.

Miles' first season:

11-2 with trip to Atlanta to the SEC Championship and a blowout win over #9 Miami in the Peach Bowl.

See for yourself

Oregon's first season:

9-4 the highlight being a win over #10 Auburn who ended up losing two more games after playing us

Not saying Miles should still be here, we became too predictable but you can't argue that we fired Miles and hired someone who was as good or better. The results tell you all you need to know.

Are you seriously gonna go there bro..... les came into an awesome situation left by nick and o came into a stale offense and a 2-2 record losing to wisconson barely beating miss st and he beat JSU and lost to auburn. Not even comparable..

Appreciate the effort on the post but come on man!

Yes, I'm going to go there, "bro."

o came into a stale offense

But O hired Canada. How was the offense "stale?" Canada has his issues to be certain but to be fair, he was a Broyles finalist and an actual OC.

And it's not like Miles couldn't recruit players. You have to admit his an excellent recruiter, just on the recruiting part, nothing more.

Yep, so was capt. Smith. He was telling the boys to shovel more coal so the Titanic would pick up speed as it headed straight for the iceberg.

Also Miles was still the coach then. O wasn't the interim until after the Auburn game. An interim coach is not running the program. I used to think it did and I was clearly incorrect.

I was debating answering because I’m tired and I gotta wake up and drive the family to the PMac tomorrow but I’ll give it a shot.

Is this building Rome?

I think we had a foundation laid already

O started by putting a few cracks in it.

We didn’t improve. The rest of the SEC stepped back.
