There seems to be a few posters on the rant (two of them in this thread and on this page alone) who think they have somehow been put in charge of who and who can't be a Tiger fan.

"If LSU has a really good season this year don't try to enjoy it 'cause I'm gonna call you out for having concerns before the season started."

It's laughably ridiculous.

"you don't share my opinion, therefore my opinion is better. I'm going to call you out on having a differing opinion" even though the differing opinion in all likelihood supports the program, wants to see more wins but just doesn't have the blind loyalty to the HC.

I haven't seen many posts that want O to fail. I know there were a few, and I mean like maybe 2 people that want him to fail just so he's gone.

We all pull for the same team.

Yes it is.

Yeah, maybe there's a couple here or there. But not near as many as there were pulling for Miles to fail, in my opinion. Perhaps there was group that wanted to Saban to fail as well, but I wasn't on the rant back then to know that to be a fact or not.

This is not the case at all. If you want to look at things from a simpleton's point of view I guess you can see it this way.

I call BS on this. I hated miles the last few years he was here but i NEVER wanted him to fail.....because that would means the Tigers had failed.

The thing about O that have most of the dumbasses all hot and bothered is HOW he was hired...without a process or credible search. Its not his fault the AD was being lead by complete idiots.

Thats not his fault no matter how rustled about it yall wanna get.
Its also not his fault he took the job...I would too if it was offered to me.

Stop blaming O for things beyond his control....and stop bringing up his Ol Miss record.....ancient history....and he obviously isnt the same coach he was back then or we'd already be in the shitter.

Hes here now so I support him because hes the coach....despite the fact that I didnt want him.

All these silly twits that claim to support the team while still beating off at the thought of Miles leaving...and now at KS is the thing that is laughably ridiculous. Move on for gods sake and embrace what seems to be an upward trend with the program.

How is getting on here and constantly touting Miles accomplishments beneficial to anyone? Ancient history now....2007 is a long time ago.

If youre still living in the past, you will never be able to fully embrace/enjoy any upcoming season...even if it is a special season....just because the guy leading the team isnt the one you wanted it to be......now thats stupid.

I will only be calling out the posters who trashed O daily for months, not the ones who "had concerns." I think we all "had concerns."

“Means the tigers had failed”

It’s amusing how 9-3, 5-3, with a disappointing O in a 12 game season is a failure but 10-3, 5-3, with a more disappointing O in a 13 game season is a success.

LSU football plateaued in 2012 as far as our success level and since that time it really hasn’t changed all that much, but it appears that our expectation level has changed.

Maybe this season our expectation level will once again return what it was before and so will our achievement.

This.

O is exceeding the generally low expectations of HIM, but not of the PROGRAM at the time Miles was fired. The cataclysmic predictions of LSU falling to a 5,6,7 win program when he was named permanent HC haven't come true. But he also hasn't produced significantly better results than Miles did towards the end of his tenure. Miles' last full regular season record (had the McNeese game not be canceled) would have been 9-3. O's best reg. season record is 9-3. And in O's first two seasons LSU has been a good team anchored by a mediocre to bad offensive approach. That's essentially what turned everyone sour on Miles.

There's no reason to want to burn O at the proverbial stake right now. But he's also done nothing to warrant a parade either.

Just like 2016 for Miles, LSU is set up for a big year in 2019. The question is "can O capitalize?" If he can, then his critics largely fade away. If he can't, then it will be fair to question whether he will ever be able to make LSU a championship caliber program?

Agreed. And let us not forget he got in Canada's way as well.

I hope he learned his lesson- stay out of the kitchen while momma's making dinner.

What are you talking about. 2018 much much harder schedule. And we finished 6th in the country. Not disappointing at all. Only can’t be pleased people think it was disappointing.

We had 8 new starters on offense and a pathetic offensive line. Still trying to recover from miles leaving us with 9 offensive lineman. In addition to more kickers than linebackers.

Just ridiculous.

Rational people can see from the NFL draft how far our talent level has dropped

Last years draft didn't really reflect talent so much because so many are returning this year. There's at least a half dozen on offense who will end up being drafted

It was a young team last year.
