Orgeron... handcuffing Brady or not?

The key to a LSU victory is an aggressive approach on both sides of the ball. Will Orgeron allow Brady to fully insert an all out offensive assault, or will he continue to play scared/ timid against Bama? I felt like the approach against Texas and Florida was pretty aggressive, but the Auburn game became a little too conservative for comfort. The "playing not to lose" mentality has failed so many times against this team. The talent is there, the available game plan is there, and the opportunity is as good as it has been. Will Orgeron allow a fully attacking offensive approach, or will a counter punching mentality cost the tigers once again? Orgeron has shown the ability to put pride aside and has been willing to grow. This is a big test for him, just in his approach to the game. LSU must dictate the game in all phases to win in Tuscaloosa. This is not 2011 and it will take a lot of points to win.

I hope so. This truly is one of the better opportunities for victory. Just don't want it pissed away, due to a conservative approach.

It's simple really ...

Texas and Florida were scoring almost at will while auburn and msst were barely getting first downs

What category do you think Bama is in ?

i have a sneaky suspicion that O will turn loose the O and we will exploit where we can. If that means running the ball, we run the ball. I don't think that a conservative "try not to lose" concept will be successful.

Only won by 3 though. Little too close for comfort. One busted assignment late and this season may look different.

All of this is a testimony to how little you know about football.

Do or die

we win, we are that much closer to the ship
we lose, we are still in the hunt but the path is a little cloudy

HC has to let the O do what they have done all year to bring this style of play to the front of CFB..I believe coach O will allow Brady to so.

I'm not trying to be negative. In fact, the post was laced with positivity and a compliment towards Orgeron. There is no doubt though, that the game plans over the last 3 years have been quite conservative against Bama. I just hope that the last game was not indicative of the upcoming game plan. I just believe that the mentality/ approach on the LSU side will decide the game.

If you believe that the previous approaches to beating Bama should be duplicated, then it is your knowledge that is in question.

First off, delete your account.

secondly, there is nothing to make us think he will play scared with this offense against bama because this offense hasn't ever played bama.

Its been documented why we played conservative (not scared) last year with our Oline.

CONTINUE to be timid and play scared?

frick, man. If that is your 'positive'...I do not want you at my parties

He has not "played timid". LSU has not had the offense to stay with BAMA. The best alternative has been to try to shorten the game and rely on the defense. Orgeron found the right guy(s) to change the offense to be able to be relied upon. He has done that without fail.

That's because we took what they defense gave us. they were dropping seven in coverage with an emphasis on covering the middle and not stacking the box so we let CEH eat and it won us the game.

I didn't see conservative football I saw a smart game adjustment

That's because O was playing scared by going for it on 4th down so often.

Auburn was throwing about 7 people into coverage to prevent big plays. and LSU run D had 2 let downs that kept Auburn in the game. You take away those two runs that gave them a grand total of 6 pts and Stingley's muff that gives Auburn a 1 st inside our 20 and this game is a laugher

That being said the run D better be paying attention because Najee Harris is a serious RB
