It's like people think because Saban did it, anyone can do it. As if Saban results are a typical expectation.

They were certainly a factor. There's isn't 1 thing that generally costs a team a game.

Of course not. But, I think we can look at the game and say, the most significant issue we are having is...

When MSU is running for 6 yards per attempt and you team with a limited QB ability can't run the ball consistently and can't protect long enough to throw it downfield, you've got a MAJOR problem. LSU could have had zero penalties and lost that game that night.

Could these not also be factors in getting destroyed by or getting beaten by inferior opponents?
Of course. That's my point.

But, you are rejecting the idea that the OL issue is significant and rejecting the idea that Orgeron didn't really create it.

You seem to think that you can't admit that Orgeron inherited a major problem (this is the truth) and still conclude that Orgeron is a substandard head coach (also the truth). Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

Lying about the OL play, or the level of talent diminishes your argument against Orgeron.. It doesn't further it. Be honest in your criticism.

I think Placebeaux is just trolling. He usually seems like a level-headed type of guy.

He really just wants O to work. That's what I get from him.

shite, Kirby Smart almost lost to Nicholls last year.....I bet the GA forums weren’t exactly pleased.

....& now...there are articles claiming he’s the best coach in the nation now...

And look, I get that. What I don't understand is spending the energy engaging in mental gymnastics in order to try to convince yourself that he will, if fact, be successful.

I'm not trying to say they haven't played poorly. They have. I'm saying they have the talent (in my view), with the right coaching and game-planning, to play better than they have and not get manhandled by State and Troy. Again, yes, we have issues (arguably "major" issues) upfront. I just refuse to believe that a competent coach and staff couldn't at least slightly mask those issues. We at least agree that Orgeron isn't the answer. I appreciate you bringing actual rational thought to the board

Miles was losing to Troy 31-10 and was able to come back and win because he had better players than we have now.

He was/is a better coach and proved it multiple times in close games.
O excels in losing games if you check his HC record.

That's a far cry from saying the issues don't exist or that Orgeron is responsible for them.

They did a great job of masking the OL issues against Florida. That was all smoke and mirrors.

Exactly

And when has going into The Swamp ever been a cake walk? Ive never seen so many fans mad about beating a higher ranked team on the road as this bundle of nutsacks. We lost to Troy GET OVER IT! shite happens. You gonna sit there and let it define this team and this fansbase? If so youre all a bunch of pussies.

Yes?

Whether you like it or not teams are judged by their wins and losses. They carry weight.

Sorry beating a bad Florida team doesn't mean as much as losing to Troy. Now if they beat Auburn then we can start to have a different conversation but reasonable people aren't ready to get over Troy.
