Yes, you go out of your way to be negative. You really need to calm down.

Let's say a miracle happens and O beats Mark Richt. That means Miami needs to immediately fire Richt, right?

He's far more respected in coaching circles than you give him credit for.

sullivan is very respected, but he was an NFL WR coach for like 30 years and an OC for one of them.

Respect doesn’t = results. Tubberville said he would have been a great OC for Saban, but he also 1. Didn’t hire him to be his OC to start a season and 2. Demoted him from QB coach to TE coach.

Realistically he’s a huge question mark, and he didn’t do anything vs the 2 best defenses he saw in 2016.

Do you have any actual evidence of this?

What’s your opinion on E and what are you basing that opinion on?

IMO, these are all fair questions in this particular discussion.

This is nice but it doesn't mean he will be a successful offensive coordinator. While I'd say he did a solid job calling plays in 2016 id also say there is more evidence to indicate he is not a good OC than there is the contrary. There's even less evidence that is capable of developing a QB at the college level. Maybe he's just been biding his time for 20 years for the right opportunity for redemption and this is it. We will see in short order.

I dont Think it’s out of my way especially in a thread asking if O is lying about how bad our offense has looked in scrimmages.

It’s very much on the way.

I'm not sure where you think he's being guaranteed anything. He's done nothing to move me one way or another, but Canada was terrible.

All the tools are in place, the expectation should be for an improved offense.

But haven’t hired him to be their OC.

Can you point to anything else?

If not that’s fine, but don’t pretend like you’ve done a lot of analysis.

Miles tried, Ensminger didn't want to be OC at that time..

You'll see him as you want to see him until the season starts. I give him a better chance of success than you based on talent alone.

Regardless of what you think he will either succeed or not. Your preseason panic just doesn't fit the current situation quite yet.

Because Kragthorpe go diagnosed with Parkinson’s and he was looking for an OC on staff. We ended up having to go with Studrawa.

He’s like O, a guy on your staff you turn to when you need someone to fill in, but no one hires outright.

Idk
I’m bored and if someone is going to call me out for being unreasonably negative I am Going to ask the reasons they’re positive.

If it’s hope and pray that’s fine.

I’ve been that fan before.

I think he gets respect as a guy that can recruit, a guy that can motivate his players. I don't think he's respected for his coaching acumen.

EDIT, you're speaking about Ensminger, never mind. In that case, I haven't really heard many speak about him at all so I don't know how respected he is.

I think his coaching acumen is fine.

There is just a difference between being an old respected vet, who knows a lot and has seen a lot, and creating and running a modern offense.

Who cares. Scrimmages are tailored to what the coaches want to see and is situational.

By this time the last ten years we were supposed to have Heisman winning QB's in Jordan Jefferson, Anthony Jennings, and Brandon Harris from all the "coach talk" about them.

The posters who were there said it was a live game simulation.

"scrimmage" - you can walk out on the field and say 'do over'. Wouldn't even know the purpose...

If he’s fabricating offensive stats, then our defense is even better than he wants people to think. And on the flip side, the offense is worse than people think. Because I don’t know how many of y’all know anything at all about football, but if those offensive numbers are inflated, he’s making up numbers that aren’t good to make terrible numbers sound like mediocre numbers.

That being said, I don’t know how he runs his scrimmages. I doubt they try to just go up and down the field, I imagine it’s situational to put the offense in inopportune situations to see how they manage and vice versa for the defense. So they may actually be really good numbers. I don’t know. And neither do any of you. Scrimmage numbers have never mattered in the past and that’s not going to change this year.
