If you think they'll be good and you predict a 10-2 record, if they don't achieve that then they've underperformed and blame should be assigned. People willing to assign blame where it's due will make a prediction. It demonstrates a willingness to admit you're wrong about how you see this regime.
What is all this? Sounds liked some kind of personal issue to me.

Those that refuse to make a prediction will just excuse whatever happens.
Again. WTF are you talking about? I don't know what me making a prediction has to do with anything or my "willingness to admit I was wrong"?
Really just don't care

Ya see, thats not what the OP says. It only speaks of their records.
Yes he did. Not in the first post but later on, in response to me.
He said in all caps that O was on another level than Saban. And the context was that it was a higher level.

but disasterous?
returning senior qb
returning all sec rb
the best coordinators money could buy
the easiest schedule he will ever have at lsu
and he lost 4 games
can you imagine what our record wouldve been had we not played 8 teams with at least 6 losses?
7
he followed that up by firing his hand picked OC because he forgot he didnt like heavy presnap motion when he hired a heavy presnap motion OC.
he then hired an OC that publicly stated that he didnt want the job.
an oc that in the last 20 years has spent more time coaching highschool football than being a fulltime OC.
he then followed that up by having the worst class since the turn of the century
this is close to rock bottom considering the type of program lsu has been since 2001

Doesn't matter how much evidence you show the "Nega-Tigers" that LSU is not sinking behind Coach O, they want him fired so badly that they actually want the LSU football team to fail so O's demise is hastened. You are just wasting your time.

Sabans without a doubt the greatest football recruiter of all time and right in there with the top 20 coaches in the country even subtracting out recruiting. Being that recruiting is the most important part of being a college football coach, that makes him the best college coach in the country.
Wait are you now saying that minus recruiting, there are up to 19 coaches better than Saban?
Well how many are better than your hero Ed

It's a pretty simple concept. You must have an idea of how well you think this team will perform. Look at the schedule game by game and guess whether or not you think we'll win, then add up the results.
If the team doesn't perform up to that, then they haven't met your expectations. Follow? What's so hard to understand about that?

LMAO, I caught that too, but just let it slide because I thought it was crazy talk.

I thought he was a good poster once upon a time but something in his brain must've broken recently. He's been off the rails this entire thread.

but then in the 2002 draft (which would be right after the 2001 season) LSU had 5 drafted, then 4 in 2003
The cupboard wasn't bare.
For the 2001-2003 drafts, following the 2000-2002 seasons LSU had 12 guys drafted, 0 in the first round and only 1 drafted before the 4th round, Josh Reed 2nd who was signed in 98, did not play (I’m assuming red shirted) in 98 and had only 8 catches and 6 rushing attempts under DiNardo and a record setting year in 2001 under Saban/ Fisher. Everyone else was drafted in the 4th round or later. Define bare cupboard

7 in 2004
Of those 7 only Donnie Jones 99, a punter, was signed by DiNardo. Devery Henderson and Steve Peterman signed in 2000 after Saban was hired. Recruiting was different back then not as many early commitments but even if Say they were committed before Saban was hired they only played for him. The other 4, Clayton, Hill, Lavailais and Mauck were all Saban guys. Also this draft has a first 2 seconds and a third

Again we see the CheeriOs are incapable of rational debate and actually believe their own false narrative

because its utter ignorance.
O had a team with 52 4 and 5 star players and disnt lose his starting qb.
posters in here that equate the two situations should be permabanned.
you can defend O without going full retard.

what exactly have you seen people make up about O?
Rickdaddy, you are one of my favorite antagonists. I'm sorry but I'm not going to keep on repeating the same things.
What I can feel decent about is although some of you love O, some of you hate O...we all love LSU enough to be this passionate about our opinions.
I have one question for you Rickdaddy. Who played a bigger role in winning the game against Tennessee on the last play of the game (and second to last play) in 2010...A) Stevan Ridley for requesting the ball and scoring B) Jordan Jefferson for identifying the 14 men on defense and being confused C) T-Bob Hebert for snapping the ball before time expired ???

Orgeron is a better coach than Saban. Period
Posted on 4/26/18 at 3:18 pm to ThePaleHorse
Only thing I can see is that you had a problem with someone saying that this past year was disastrous.
That's someone's opinion. You may disagree with it or not but that's their opinion.
I would say Orgeron had this plane headed straight for a mountain and averted disaster at the last minute. He didn't crash the plane, but I cannot ignore the dire straits this program was in between MSU and Florida.

Agreed, this is a whole lot to be skeptical about. I for one am extremely nervous for our football team, but I'm also hoping he defies the skeptics.
I am all in with ya'll on that. Nothing could be truer for me. I would like to see him over come the odds and be a great coach at LSU just because it would be good for LSU (nothing to do with Ed Orgeron, just that that goes hand in hand right now) Also I don't see the first season as being disastrous (which was the point of this thread). Yes there was some hyperbole in the OP (why do I have to point out something so obvious) mixed in with facts.

what? for longest periods of absolute futility in a game?

i have a question for you....
what does more damage to a program?
paying $850,000 to get manhandled by a mid major for homecoming
or
anonymous message board posters
which one drives recruits away from lsu?
hiring a 55 year old career dline coach that no school even wanted as a coordinator
or
anonymous message board posters
if you have a problem with people posting facts about Ed Orgeron maybe you should take it up with Alleva.
