Let's not go overboard here. Oregon was a perennial bottom ten team a few decades ago. With crappy HS football which yields a poor recruiting field, the Ducks have done well with what they have. They will never be and stay elite, but they are not some "gimmick" team.

He has a point. However, he fails to recognize that in all the hypothetical, alternate plays that would have occurred, their lines still got dominated. This leads to an eerily similar parallel universe where UO still gets their collective arse beaten.
