At least his high school arrest was for defending his brother. It's nice to know he's the kind of guy who will stand up for you, especially when the whole affair was because the cop didn't like the hat his brother was wearing. Stupid cop.
The section of I-5 freeway he was on is straight and fast and is ideal for high speed running. There have been many 100+mph pullovers in that area. Personally I like I-84 just past The Dalles. There is a loop out into the Columbia River where you can see the road for miles and nowhere for a cop to hide. I've only gone 117 there, so I guess I'm a piker. I've heard tales of others at over 150mph.
There was an article in the East Oregonian, a Pendleton (NE Oregon) paper, about a Lomborghini blowing by a cop at 180. If he hadn't turned into a dead end he would have gotten away. What was amusing was the judge said it was a fine car, and an empty road and the officer was a mile away before he could turn on his lights. Fairly small fine and evading police charge dismissed.
There is a lot of empty in Oregon. It is twice the size of Louisiana and has 700K fewer residents. Most of them, 2 million+, live in the Portland metro area. Finding a rest stop is serious business and you don't pass one by without thinking.

The dude was cited and not arrested. It's very misleading. He will pay a 1,148 ticket.

His brother broke dress code, but yet the cop was stupid?

I get tired of all the sympathy and excuses for these athletes. These young MEN kno exactly wat's on the line when they break the law. Keep defending ur Pacman wannabe, it won't b tha last time ur goin to have to defend his actions. But pray these actions get overlooked, ur well overmatched as it stands with him playing.

Speeding... big deal. FYI Oregon has suspended him for 14 months but he is expected to play. How? Well, he was suspended from driving and that didn't stop him then did it!

When was he suspended for 14 months?

How does this make it excusable for striking a police officer? Maybe I don't understand because I'm beyond my teenage years and serving in the military.

How does all this make it excusable for wreckless driving?

Did I say it was excusable? Do you have reading comprehension problems? Oops, sorry, I'll try to use smaller words from now on.
I find it interesting that there are 10 pages on Educk and several are partial one pager threads and there are 21 pages here. I guess Cliffy got into your heads more than we realized. Imagine how your QB's heads are. "Hey, my receiver is open," throws ball, "Oh shite, where did Harris come from?"

I could care less if he suits up or not. It's surprising how many people are defending his actions.

It's bad what he did, but I wish they would let him play just this game and suspend him for the rest!!!!! I want no excuses. Even if we lose I don't want to hear if we had Cliffy then we would have blown y'all out or whatever. I wan y'alls best against our BETTER I mean best.

I don't think you have to worry about Speedy Gonzales getting suspended for our game. After all, this is hardly the first Oregon player to get in trouble and remain on the team. Its not even the first players this offseason.
