How do you not get arrested for speeding in excess of 50 MPH with a suspended license?

When you are in the state of Oregon and you are a player who wears Nike gear.....

The NCAA should look into this.

To have his license suspended means he probably didnt pay an old fine. Old fines=Jail.

No doubt he got off simply bdcause he was cliff harris.

The Pac 10 is slow.
An SEC player would have been doing 145mph.

7thWard, that is dumb. If you read Moseley, they cited others going over 100+ that very same day. The officer said, "it shows what it going on out there." Also, the other cited was a 21 year old male. He is not the only one.

Was the other 21 yr old male have a suspended license.

Tell me what his license was suspended for. Like i said, old fines = night in jail.

You was cool at first Bison, but now you are really starting to come off as an arrogant lil bitch IMHO.

Suspended license plus that speed is an arrest for Reckless Operation in Louisiana. Good thing he wears those ugly arse uniforms, any other Oregon citizen would have been in the clink with an impounded vehicle waiting on them when they bailed out.

They're pretty damn talented. They've been stuck in a predictable system in which they've each been asked to do one thing it seems and we've had a problem getting these guys the ball. And how could you call Jarvis Landry overrated yet, he's not even on campus?

Why do you need to go 118 mph?

Simple, to get away from the cops dummy

Don't know about Oregon, but in Alaska you get arrested for a suspended license and when convicted, serve a mandatory sentence.

Cliff Harris, who is considered the top recruit in Oregon's 2009 football recruiting class, was arrested Wednesday in Fresno, Calif., and charged with felony assault of a public official.

According to media reports in Fresno, Harris' brother got into an argument at Edison High School with a police officer over his clothing and was pepper-sprayed. Cliff Harris then intervened and also was pepper-sprayed and arrested.

The Ducks consider Harris, a four-star recruit, a good bet to play this fall. He was rated the seventh-best cornerback in the nation by rivals.com and is considered a top kick returner, too.

He was booked into the Fresno County Jail. Bail was set at $20,000 for the felony count and $10,000 for a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a public officer.

Oregon coach Chip Kelly released the following statement:

"We are aware of the allegations against Cliff Harris and are looking into the matter. We reserve any further comment until the legal process runs its course."

Looks like the boy has a history of trouble. So, since April 2009 he has a felony arrest, a suspended license and now a 118 in a 65 w/ driving under suspension.

Bison ?

You need change your fricking header to Cliff Harris cited for a traffic violation.

You mean he just got a ticket and drove away. Doubt it on a suspended license. Had to be taken in.

I am sure he is suspended for tickets. Not fines. In oregon they suspend your license for so many violations.

If you think I am arrogant, so be it. Not trying to be but saying the NCAA needs to investigate, that nike is paying his way, that he is getting off easy is just mud flinging.

Oregon state trooper is just following protocol.
