Ok, fish.
Why would a non-AD female employee rent a vehicle for a scholarship athlete? Because he's nice? He asked several times? His parents were still married? He gave her a free biscuit at McDonalds?
I see nothing worthy. Sticking with the idea that she let him stick her split.

Or maybe because she got the car on Friday for a full day and got fully reimbursed? I dunno. However, we can go with a bigger conspiracy, if you'd like.

I'm not being biased......would have similar questions if/when a local player is caught in the same situation

We all, or should I say, most of us did things at that age that were stupid. It is not like he raped someone or pulled a gun. I hope that he plays and learns a valuable lesson. We all know that some women are weak minded when it comes to certain things. This does not mean that Oregon is certainly a dirty program. Let the game be on. Your best against ours.

I'm thinking: A 'friend' calls me with a request to rent a vehicle. I insist that the 'friend' accompany me to the rental company office, and is listed as an authorized user - in case he wrecks the car so I won't be 100% liable.

For that, no! My thought is that players who complete two years of college in an athletic program should be conscious of their actions, how they affect the University that provides their free education, and the team that may push him to an NFL career.
One second, let me review his photo - one simple trait could explain his lack of conscious thought......but I don't think there are many in Oregon....

The girls car was not running well and leaking oil, She needed to get somewhere closer than Portland.. Cliff and a "friend" needed/wanted a car to go further.. They paid her to rent the car, she went where she needed to go, they continued on under orders of "only the licensed driver can drive"...

How old is this 'girl', 'non-AD employee'. If I were 30ish, and could do something financially that would guarantee I could have sex with a current student/athlete (cheerleader)....I sure as hell would!
But it wouldn't be right.....at least as far as NCAA rules are concerned.
I think one of the assistant coaches need to take this kid behind the duck barn

so she had a car leaking oil, and instead of taking it to a shop for a quick repair, she rents a 100 a day car? Then, she just so happens to tell her friend Cliff where she was going?
