Lunitik - Since you have reopened the Jugs question with your signature line, let me add this... Many contend that Miles was fired because the Big Money donors wanted an elite passing game that Miles failed to deliver.
Woody has a responsibility to those big donors (if he wants to seek millions from them in the future).
Woody can't allow substandard practice facilities for LSU's WRs. Not if he's holding to the promise of delivering an elite passing game.
Woody could authorize funding for 8 or 10 Jugs machine (or any other similar brand) and have the best WR practice area in he nation. Woody could accomplish that in a couple weeks max.
You want to impress 5-Star recruits? You want to see a 5-Star WR's eyes light up? Show him an NFL level Jugs area/room!

So talented, by definition, yea probably.
LSU could have and should have beaten Troy and ND that year. Last season LSU could have and should have beaten A&M. Those losses weren't talent issues.

LSU went into college station as under dogs last year and I think -1.5 or -2 in the swamp which is essentially a pick em game. Which is how both games ended. Margins are slim in the SEC.
Saying they were talented is broad. Jamar Chase & Jordan Jefferson are both talented. Both were essentially first year players though. Joe Burrow is talented, but had like 35 days to gel & learn the offense.
KLavon Chaisson is a talented pass rusher, and he goes down & LSU does not quite have an answer yet to replace him, for instance. Roster construction, work in progress.
