1. Curiel - LF
2. Milam - SS
3. Dickinson - 2B
4. Jones - 1B
5. Brown - RF
6. Larson - DH
7. Hernandez - C
8. Braswell - 3B
9. Stanfield - CF
LHP - Anderson

Was 50/50 on reaves or Larson. I think reaves, arrambide and JP will all get starts this weekend.

Let me know who you think is in the mix of who might get meaningful ABs this weekend

I don't think dickinson is going to be batting 3rd to open the season.

With the way Larson ended the Spring I wouldn’t mind seeing him hitting in front of Jones. Curiel, Milam, and Larson would be a good mix of guys to make sure we have someone on base for the bear bombs that are inevitable

Does Curiel really have a good chance to leadoff ?

I saw someone else slot him in the back of the order

I'd be surprised if he wasn't 1 or 2 in the lineup. He's got a tre morgan approach at the plate, even as a freshman

Eventually, yeah it's probably a very good bet to make. Does he lead off today, I'm not so sure.

I think it all depends on how JJ handles opening day. Does he go with guys who have been there to start? If so, you could see Milam, Jones, Brown, Larson as your top 4. Or does he feel like Curriel has done enough in practice to throw him there day 1? If so, I think it goes Curriel, Milam, Jones, Brown, Larson.

This is also assuming that Larson is even one of the starters.

Although I don't think he finishes the season as a regular starter, I really think Josh Pearson will be in the opening day lineup. My guess for this afternoon:

1- Stanfield - CF
2 - Curiel - LF
3 - Jones - 1B
4 - Brown - RF
5 - Dickinson - 2B
6 - Hernandez - C
7 - Pearson - DH
8 - Milam - SS
9 - Braswell - 3B

Also, it's a pretty safe bet that Saturday and Sunday's lineups will be much different. Let the tinkering commense!!

I'm going to throw shite at the wall with a guess and see if it sticks. You could convince me of about 20 different lineups though.

1- Milam SS
2- Brown RF
3- Jones 1B
4 - Larson DH
5 - Dickinson - 2B
6 - Curriel - LF
7 - Braswell 3B
8 - Hernandez C
9 - Stanfield CF

Even typing out my own lineup, I think it's dead wrong.

Absolutely a possibility. JJ may not view the opening day nods as what he thinks his best possible lineup will be. That's why this can go so many different ways. A lot of people are projecting what they think it ultimately will be, which is fine. But is that what JJ does?

I kind of tried to mix both, and my lineup came out wonky.

When I started making mine, I had Pearson in the 4 hole. Then I thought there's no way Brown will be that low and switched it. Then I see Milam in the 8 and just said to hell with it. Now, my guess is that none of us has the slightest clue what JJ will do and whoever he trots out there will dominate.

I believe the Saturday scrimmage Jay had 1s v 2s and went with the following lineup which may be what he does today: (though could see Brown and Pearson flipped). Beyond anything he loves the LRLRLR order.

Stanfield CF
Curiel LF
Jones 1B
Pearson DH
Dickinson 2B
Brown RF
Hernandez C
Milam SS
Braswell 3B

Not to be too harsh but this is a pretty horrendous prediction.

Damn, guess my prediction was spot on if I would have kept JP in the 4.
