I guess your definition of elite and mine are two different things. The vile, football ignorant things said here definitely do make the vocal minority trash, and do impair the fans and their reputation.

Elite fans build programs, do not tear them down.

Which is understandable. But I wouldn't describe someone who ransacks a room as loyal...

Board 2 would be very boring, and would turn this place into TideSports 2.0

Sample Topics from Positiger board:

Les miles for SEC Coach of the Year

Our DB's dominated the entire game

Crowton is a wizard

The D held TJ yates to only 400 yards passing

That was great coverage in the end zone at the end of the game.

Ford is not ready and Miles is making the right decision to let him sit and learn.

JJ has made a dramatic turnaround from last year and is now making better decisions.

Did you see the way Miles called off the dogs and coached conservatively to preserve the win!

Ridley's fumbles proved to be harmless because we won the game.

RS is too small to carry the ball more than 8 times in a game. Great decision by the coaches to prevent him from being injured by over-utilizing him.

The depth of our O-Line was on display Sat night when T-Bob stepped right in for Blackwell.

Danny, since you have chosen Waco as your hometown I presume you are comparing the Rant to your Baylor experiences.

I read their boards and they are just as negative. It is like junior high on the boards. If someone says you suck it is the popular thing to do to join in the trashing.

I was in Atlanta for the game and bought two seats on the street from an LSU fan. We wound up sitting between two lesbians and a single drunk on the other side. I was wondering what names they posted under :) The drunk was hilarious trying to pick up the girls (even though he was in no position to know who he was talking to). Let's just say our fan base is diverse

At the beer stand a 50's something drunk was trying to attack a 20's something Bama dude and being held back by fans of LSU. I was hoping they would just let him go as the dude from Bama was going to whip his butt. My point is that when it comes to football, fans are irrational and greatly entertaining.

GEAUX TIGERS - please entertain us too

horseshite.

When people choose to bitch about everything, they are no longer presenting valid arguments, they are simply being silly children. Whaaa, whaaa, its Miles...he sucks.

There is competition, not every play works, not every drive ends in a TD.

See this childish overdramatization by the negative side of our base.....none of this was said or insinuated.

I'm just telling you my feelings...I'm not donating money or paying $70 with donation per ticket to a school that pays a coach damn 4MM a year and settles for going to the Peach Bowl.

I've got better things to do with my money. Now, if I'm sitting at home not paying a damn thing then I could care less. They can suck for ten years straight.

This whole mentality of "I think Miles is the best coach in the country, therefore I'm a better fan than you" is growing tired.

What a TREMENDOUS post...

Now prepare to have the ignorant masses tear it down either because they don't understand it, and that frustrates them, or because they do understand it, and that frustrates them even more...

cheers!

Danny, you and I are fairly close in age, and if you've been following LSU for as long as I have, and are still incensed by LSU fans being critical, then I don't really know what to say about that.
