What has he done lately? He has an ERA over 5 the last 2 seasons.
He is coming off a complete 1 run game against some small school, but when he's bad he's bad.

Paul Skenes was starting the MLB All Star game in 2024 while Jackson Wells was posting a 5.50 ERA in the Ohio Valley Conference.

he's around the zone but very hittable. had a 4.5-5 FIP/xFIP and a 1.22 WHIP in 2023... that ERA was fugazi. we have 2 additional years of data on this kid and he's not missing many bats

Honestly hate to say this but the way lsu batted in sec tournament I can see this ending bad for lsu baseball is all about momentum and offensively lsu has ZERO

I know, but I didn't want to be rude.It's like when someone says, "no offense, but..." It's still being offensive I just know this has been posted a few times before. I hate myself, because I don't want to be that guy. Not everyone lives on this board like I do. I'm not concerned with his pitching several seasons ago. Hopefully LSU gets him out early.

LSU is great in pitching and defense right now alongside pitching is actually getting better. Have to get past LSU's pitching and right now, LSU is probably one of the better programs built for these regionals even if they slipped into a loser bracket. LSU tends to hit good at home. We'll be fine.
