One thing not to like about if LSU were to join the B10

The amount of travel is absolutely brutal. Coast to coast. I remember reading last year the horrible away records for teams. The B12 would at least still be mostly regional.

That wouldn't add them alone.
Fox is actively trying to get a southern contingent from UNC, FSU, Clemson, Miami for the BIG10.
If they can't get Notre Dame they are going south.
I think FSU / Miami / Clemson / LSU would be a monster group to add. Giving us southern travel relief.

Adding a southern pod to their league like that would be a huge win for them.

LSU has been a founding member of the Southeastern Conference since 1932. With its national brand, loyal fan base, and elite athletic department, LSU remains one of the league’s key revenue drivers.
Do you really think the SEC would remove one of its biggest programs and let the Big Ten pick it up? That is not going to happen. LSU is not being kicked out of the SEC.
The Big Ten talk is fantasyland speculation.

The conference would also love having the southern schools for the baseball season. Perhaps they'd even put more emphasis on baseball. Seeing LSU play Michigan in the Big House and trampling them at Death Valley would be wonderful.

Traveling from Baton Rouge to West Virginia, Cincinnati, Arizona, ASU, BYU, Utah, Colorado, and Iowa State isn't exactly my idea of "regional"
Half the SEC is within an 8 hour drive of Baton Rouge. Only 3 of 16 current Big 12 teams would be within that distance (Houston, Baylor, TCU).
The longest current SEC road trip from BR would be Kentucky at around 12 hours. 10 of the Big 12 schools would be further than that.
