I decided to take a look at the stats:

Sorted from best INTsPerAttempt to worst

Jarrett Lee 2008 was the worst for INTs post-2007, but Jarrett Lee 2011 was the best for INTs post-2007.

May want to add that LSU has a few WR in the NFL over the same time frame ???
How Miles/LSU gets either is a complete mystery ????

I'll take When evaluating who should start, Miles is godawful at it for $1000!

How about we just use the same criteria for benching a starting QB? Harris sucked at Auburn and was rightfully benched. What more does AJ have to do to take a seat again? Rotating QBs and going with the hot hand is never ideal, but it's a better option than this

Well, contemplate how bad AJ would be if every game was a track meet and instead throwing against 8 men in the box, he was throwing against defenses playing for the pass. AJ is attempting to throw against defenses selling out to stop our run and still sucks.

If Harris set the benchmark then Jennings has a little more to fall

Yes, Harris was bad at Auburn. Jennings was almost as bad as Harris. People try to use the Auburn game as fuel for why Jennings should be the starter.

There is no doubt that Harris has much more upside than Jennings. And I honestly believe that we would have just as good, if not a game better, record with Harris at QB than Jennings at QB. Harris needs to play so that he will not be so green next year.

My biggest issue about Jennings is his in effectiveness reading defenses...even on running plays on a read option call. Several times Sat night he chose to not hand the rock to the RB, kept it and ran directly into a BAMA DE doe a loss or no gain. It's a simple read...either the DE bites inside or he does not.

So we characterize or QBs as dual threat...Then they have to get that play right at least.

You want the most experienced backup?

The real reason:

Miles knows we won't mind running plays if the alternative is Jennings throwing.

Thoughtful post.

If you think that Jennings has more upside than Harris then I don't know what else to say.

Are you saying that there is no way that Miles will start Harris next year?

He isn't even Sunbelt material. If LSU had either the starting QB from ULL or ULM, they would have won Saturday night.

Aub: 5/10, 84 yds, 0/0, 41.1 QBR
Fla: 10/21, 110 yds, 1/0, 48.3 QBR
Kent: 7/14, 120 yds, 1/0, 64.2 QBR
Ole Miss: 8/16, 142 yds, 1/2, 29.0 QBR
Bama: 8/26, 76 yds, 1/1, 12.7 QBR

This calls for at least a rotation IMO
