Gervase has been on when he’s pitched so far. He’s thrown only 2 innings but they were shutdown besides one hit .

If we get to him up in the 8th then I’d feel good.

Other good things to make you optimistic.
Doughty is on fire
Crews has hit well overall , but has been unreal against anyone that doesn’t just throw junk.
Berry is getting more and more comfortable every game
Hilliard only threw 55 pitches Friday and usm hasn’t seen him yet.
Errors in the infield have been held to a manageable number
Shouldn’t have to deal with any shadows in the outfield.
Jobert may not start
Bianco may play for Stevenson

Feel free to add to this list

If we lose it’s a short ride back home.

If we win it’s a short ride back home.

Yeah.
I’d vote Dugas over Jobert. As Dugas is much more likely to find his way on base.
However, Jobert could hit 8 HRs??

That shite has to keep jj up at night.

I would be tossing and turning with visions of jobert getting hot and then nightmares of a slow long arse swing on a slider in the dirt

Then you have to wonder how healthy is dugas it’s got to be a tough decision and just like everything else, jj is taking more into account than we are. He doesn’t do anything at all that’s not based on some data

Is Dugas healthy enough to play the field?

I’d definitely put him in if so.

Whatever happens Johnson has earned our respect in his first year, and LSU football fall practice is only a couple months away.

I'm not sure about Bianco but I would expect Dugas to start over Jobert.

Didn’t the switch at dh happen pretty early last night? The only reason I think he may not do it is based on the starter being left or right handed I forgot which one the guy is.

If he’s a lefty then jobert won’t start

Also, I’m thinking that Stevensons terrible fielding was an eye opener. This could be one of those things that jj didn’t know at the time because I’ve watched every pitch this year and I thought the kid was a great outfielder up until last night.

Maybe jj was Surprised as well and will now start bianco. Remember, bianco is capable of getting hot.

I just hate to bing in a new guy iwhen you have a guy that should get better with every at bat with how little college baseball he’s played. At this point Stevenson is literally gonna be getting better with every at bat

If Dugas was healthy enough to see the field he would be playing in the field.

Dugas is injured and can’t play in the field. Unless he’s gotten better . If he was healthy enough up to this point then why do you think we have a freshman batting 200 out there misplaying everything off the bat and only making the plays that can be made with a terrible read

I’m not completely convinced on that.

I think Stevenson could end up being a good outfielder, but I’d rather not see him the rest of this season.

Bianco plays a solid defense everywhere he’s played, but he’s not a dependable bat. I really hope Dugas can take LF today.

How are you not convinced that Dugas is not healthy enough to play the field?

Him in left field makes the lineup better at the plate and in the field.

You do realize that he’s a good fielder and has or had the highest obp on the team at one point not too long ago

In a perfect world, Dugas would be healthy enough to play in the field and then we can DH Jobert and wait for him to get a good swing on one and if that doesn't work then you can pinch hit Travinski another plus power hitter. But since Dugas can only DH if he can swing we need him in the lineup over Jobert with how much he is struggling right now.

I guess it’s just me trying to be hopeful.

I’ll collect my L on this and be done.
