Once again posters on The Rant were correct in assessment of a player - Lloyd Cushenberry
Posted by Tiger Ree on 9/18/18 at 11:46 am18049
I remember not too terribly long ago asking why there was so much hate for Lloyd Cushenberry. People were attacking him and trying to figure out who should start ahead of him.
Well the idiots strike again:
Other interesting notes:
That would explain the play action out of the shotgun.
Film & Facts: Clutch Throws, Late Stops Vital vs Auburn
Well the idiots strike again:
quote:
84.6: Lloyd Cushenberry’s pass blocking grade in 2018, the best among SEC centers.
Other interesting notes:
quote:
11.4%: Andre Anthony’s pass rush productivity (a formula that combines sacks, hits and hurries relative to how many times they rush the passer) vs. Auburn, third in the SEC this week
quote:
5: Austin Deculus ranks fifth in the SEC in pass blocking efficiency this season. The sophomore tackle has allowed just one pressure in 64 snaps in 2018.
quote:
4: Third down conversions through the air against Auburn.
2: Third down conversions through the air against Miami and Southeastern combined.
quote:
39%: Percentage of plays LSU ran from shotgun from 2014-2017.
66%: Percentage of plays LSU has run from shotgun in 2018.
quote:
128.0: Joe Burrow’s NFL passer rating on play action attempts this season
That would explain the play action out of the shotgun.
quote:
Grant Delpit's snap breakdown is absurd:
Safety: 104
Slot: 63
Box: 38
Punt Coverage: 12
D-Line: 10
Kick Coverage: 8
Punt Return: 2
FG Block: 2
Kick Return: 2
quote:
Joe Burrow: “I saw it was two high safeties in Cover 2. Against two high safeties, that’s where you’ve got to go with the ball. I just tried to get it up over the linebacker, and Derrick Dillon made a great play for me.”
quote:
The most important throw (if not the one to Dillon). 4th down, do or die, Burrow to Stephen Sullivan.
LSU's big, physical receivers stepped up on Saturday.
quote:
Quarterbacks have an 8.3 passer rating when throwing at Greedy Williams this year.
His technique here is exceptional. Establishes leverage early, gets hip to hip, which allows him to peak into backfield and find the ball.
quote:
Here's Devin White impacting the game as a pass rusher without recording a hurry or a sack. Killed Auburn's last two drives by drawing flags.

How about we dig up some of your posts claiming Matt Canada could have the best offense in the SEC. No one is right 100% of the time. Let's just be happy the kid is playing well.

Why? Can the loudmouths not handle it when they are completely wrong?

I admit I was wrong about Cushenberry. I didn’t think he was ready this year and wanted Brumfield to slide over but boy was I wrong! Cush has been the most consistent O-Lineman we’ve had so far this year. Glad I was wrong on this one.

Typical Rantard. Can only remember and focus on the negative about a player or game.

If Tracy misses that GW FG you'd be the first to say the same.
I remember how beloved Brossette was among your crowd after the Troy game...
Got so involved in info didn't click link, still excellent observations.
I to was watching White with delayed blitz, he really abused the center, #54. Went back and looked at replays and noticed 54's face - he was totally dismayed!!

Yes please. I don't remember saying that. I may have but I certainly don't remember saying anything about leading the SEC in offense.
thanks in advance !!!
