The only reason he mentioned Riley is to get a dig at LSU. It's just that others made comments about Riley. So he didn't mention Napier or the money it took to keep Tucker at Mich state. It's ok with him these coaches get bribed to stay and not mention that the money in those circumstances kept them from leaving and not the athlete.

Your subject line hit the nail on the head. According to Dick Vitale, a college coach should never leave a school for greener pasture and that is really rich for a guy with a $25 million net worth who make $3 million a year for talking during a basketball game.

People complaining about the timing of the moves need to realize that the early signing day in college football is a factor. Also, bowl games are postseason and are exhibitions if they are not CFP games. After the final season game is the most reasonable time for a coaching change.
