I have been to Omaha 4 times; 96,97,98, and 09. and I have seen the city fall in love with LSU. How was it able to keep strong through our drought and our 8 years without a championship. I met younger people while there in 09 and although in hs they said that they have been LSU fans since they were little because of their parents' influence.

I think I most so want to highlight that when we go to other schools in the south they have bitter respect for our program and our culture, but the way I know we are a great, is that we brought OUR culture to the Midwest, that had no resentment to to LSU, over 20 years ago and the people of Nebraska respected and pulled for us then, and still do today. Thats really something to be proud of.

We bring fans up there even when we don't make Omaha. When we are up there, it's insane. The 90's LSU fans were up there so much and partied so hard and made tons of friends that we just became the local favorite and really helped college baseball become a bigger sport. It still has a very long way to go but LSU brings them tons of business and entertainment.

I think he's confused by your poor spelling...

While the rest of us knew you meant "brought OUR culture", he's a troll, so he's sticking to the negative connotation of your "brought OUT culture" - implying that they had none.

I doubt Omaha would like to be associated with Baton Rouge in anyway. Stick with Alex Box North.

Exactly! They don't like LSU, they like the $$$ that LSU brings. Big difference.

I don't find Omaha to be all that special. St. Louis would be a better venue if they're set on keeping the CWS in the Midwest.

Why Omaha Should Cheer For Them: LSU has one of the most passionate fan bases in the country. They travel to Omaha every year whether their team is here or not. Nebraskans can clearly relate to this kind of fan base.
