Best $25 I've spent in a while, gotta see it if u have any liking to LSU at all. What was really cool to me is when they are showing yearbook pics I actually saw one of my good friends dad that played on the 61' team. Do have to admit it will make any grown man cry if you love LSU. Truly depicts that the guys that play for LSU are family, I believe that this probably extends thru the years from former players to current players & future players as well. These guys in the movie have truly built our fan base & history.

I have watched it twice. It is the most complete and well done history of LSU football ever done. Going to watch it during the Christmas holidays with a side of the family that are Longhorn fans. They are excited about it too after hearing my Dad and I talking about it. I think if you are a college football fan you will enjoy. LSU has a rich and very unique history and it keeps getting better.

Watched it for the first time last night.... I bought it for my dad for Christmas, but I had to watch it!...so glad I did.
It really is perfect for young and old. For young people, you get learn about the history that you never knew...ex. Doc Fenton.... and for the older fans, they get to remember all the good old times in life!! My dad is going to love this gift.

Glad you liked it. I donated some video footage that was used throughout the film. They did a fine job putting it together.
FYI to all: if you pay close attention to the Saban interviews, you will notice that he is framed (filmed) differently than any other person in the movie. The reason being is that he refused to remove his scripted "A" sweater he was wearing. In the early edit views, all you could see was a big head sitting on his tiny shoulders.

From what I've seen of it...Including the Nick Saban reference...It was pretty cool!

Just left the mall and they have a kiosk by the food court with the dvds and blurays for sale as well as the art from the movie.
You had something to do with the making and selling of this film, didn't you?

Question from a younger fan. They were pretty good about posting names of the people they interviewed but who was the one talking about riding back from the Bayou Classic with his grandparents and seeing Tiger Stadium lit up as a small boy? I didnt see his name posted.

I'm glad some of y'all manned up and admitted to tearing up because I definitely did. I just couldn't help but think of the memories. I practically grew up inside of Tiger Stadium with my father not only working and retiring from LSU but he took me to home games since before memory.
No offense to the Bama fans, but fwiw - Saban talking about LSU just didn't do it for me. He sounded like an outsider reading a script and it was very generic.

Did anyone notice their was no mention or interview of Joe Dean? I thought it was strange since he was the AD for over 10 bad years.

Ordered mine today. Cannot wait to see it!

let me start by saying that they have the worst customer service of any company that I have ever dealt with....bar none....I pre-ordered in the spring of the year at the tiger tour with the published shipping date just before the season started....they charged my credit card immediately, yet after numerous unanswered calls and e-mails, I finally got the video with about 3 games left to the season...Grade "F"
AS far as the content goes, it really was not what I expected based on the advertising and trailers, which all led me to believe that it was an in depth doccumentary on the gameday experience from a player's perspective plus a lesson on how the NC trophy and the championship rings are made....it actually did a good job on the player's perspective, but fell short on the trophy and ring manufacturing....basically just showed that these folks had visited the factories...it did include far more history of the school and the football program than I expected with a major emphasis on coaches charlie mac, saban, and miles....Grade "B+"
technically, I thought the movie was well done...good narration...good music....well put together action scenes, etc....one minor negative was that the audio and the video seemed to get out of sync by about a half second at certain points making it seem like a dubbed kung fu movie....Grade "B"
I have to agree that no true tiger fan could watch this without getting choked up a few times during the film...it is suprising the emotion that it brings out if you love LSU football the way I do....
Overall Grade "B"...I think every true tiger fan should have this one...but there is no way in hell I would recommend ordering by mail...gotta find someone selling it over the counter and buy it that way...

Spankum: does the DVD have good film of the earthquake game? The only clips I've seen are horrible quality and I really think I could find myself & friends in the student section if the picture was a little sharper. :-/
THANKS, Chicken
That man is missing a sensitivity chip, a common-sense chip, a social-skills chip, AND a gratitude chip. I mean damn. His success at LSU is what propelled him to where he is now! If he's so damn happy at bama, he could at least show a little respect toward the school that made him a household name.
