It may be encouraging but Ole Miss didn't kill any ghosts that won't happen till they finally win a super regional. I had some friends on those teams and that was some painful stuff to watch.

Omaha was real before this weekend and the winner of this series was not given a Golden Ticket to the CWS. Sorry, Old Mrs., you will still have to win in the tourney to get there.

yea....we know. But this weekend shows that we do have a team that is capable of it. Are we predicting it now? No. We're just saying that we do have a capable team.

Considering the bottom 4 teams in the SEC are bad Ole Miss will make the SEC tourny and host a regional, but my statement is meant that LSU still has a better shot at the SEC title and CWS title than Ole Miss.
Ole miss out played LSU and threw everything they had at them to pull out the 3 wins....by a total of 4 runs. We saw the best of Ole Miss just like we saw the best of Auburn. I'm not worried and it will still come down to LSU and USC as to who will go the furtherest in the post season. IMO.
Ole Miss looked damn good this weekend and played their hearts out. A robbed homer saved game 2 and some toughness got them a win in game 3 both games LSU should and could have won both but Ole Miss showed more heart.
Like I said they shot their wad for the year.
