re: Ole Miss is what I would call being aggressive in NIL....

Another example of the “experts” penalizing teams that schedule tougher OOC games. If LSU had beaten SLU, we’d be ranked between Bama and Ole Mrs.

What’d that get them last year?
What it got them was a team, that for the first time since 2008, was bigger, stronger, more athletic, and talented than LSU.
Ole Miss should never have a stronger roster than LSU, but they did.
Sure, they beat LSU and didn’t make the playoffs, but that was because of coaching, not their roster of talent.
LSU needs a significant upgrade in talent in order to compete for a national title. I think everyone should be in ageement with that.

I just don’t understand why some LSU fans want to overinflate Ole Miss. it really is a strange
Because they have a man-crush on Joey Freshwater

Absolutely....guys been a head coach for near two decades and has never won shite.....got the best roster Ole Miss has probably ever had this past year and still didn't win shite, so it's the only possible explanation.

I mean, he does have Ole Miss at a level they've rarely been in this side of the 1960's/1970's, but I don't think he will ever be able to truly compete for a National Championship at Ole Miss.

Only conference games count?

That got them closer to the playoffs than LSU.
They got closer because they beat Furman 76-0 at home while we were playing USC in Vegas. We shite the bed and they didn't even get into a bed to shite.
One could also argue we beat an inferior UCLA after a slow start and they lost to inferior Kentucky in their first real game of the year due to having experience/no experience against actual football teams.
Personally, I think it is only because they lost three games due to Kiffin being the worst game day head coach in the SEC. Ole Miss had the talent to be 11-1 or 12-0.

If you want to give them credit for beating Furman, Middle Tennessee, Wake Forest, & GA Southern with all their transfers you go right ahead

Well they did beat Georgia, which we could not have done.

Well we did beat Ole Miss, which Georgia couldn’t do… we could do this all day

I think Kiffin has already got them to the precipice of competing year in and year out. They are on the cusp of another 10 win season, which would be 3 of the last 4 years for them.
They have an eager fanbase that has never seen this kind of success, so they have no problem donating to their collective. With this day in NIL, you can build a brand anywhere.
Yes, they did lose 3 games, but they were handful of plays away from being undefeated this year, and on paper, they are one of the most talented teams in the country if not the most talented.
They have always played little brother to us, and I hope it stays that way. But make no mistake, they are a threat as long as Kiffin is there. They aren't a gimme win anymore like they have been in some years past.

Switch schedules and I think we are at minimum 9-3.
Probably 10-2.
We beat UK whereas they lost.
We beat OM.
No bama. Sub UGA there though I think we match up better with UGA
Florida=Florida.

FYI, he grew up closer to LSU than Ole Piss, so the back yard comment for him is irrelevant.

The baws there went all in and bought him the best team he's ever had, and he still didn't get it done. He's had a job at Tennessee and USC as well in the past. The dude has a track record....this is it, there's a lot of shine but the substance ain't there.

From what I'm hearing they ain't quite as eager to donate after going all in and not getting it this year. We'll see.

Kiffin does a good job tampering

Patrick Klutas is a 3rd year player and part-time starter.
Oatis is a 3rd year player, who has had 57 tackles in 3 years and only played 2 games this year.
There is aggressive and there is taking a gamble. These are gambles.
We need proven players. They do not all have to be stubs, but we need players who have shown it.

Let's hope that's the case. I really want them to move on from Kiffin and go back to being irrelevant lol.
