But we are not comparing Florida to Ole Miss.

The thread is comparing LSU to Ole Miss.

And between those two schools, the outcome is clear.

Over those 2 years, LSU has improved by one game on its record (possibly two). Since we are using 2 years to establish a trend, care to comment?

If this doesn't tell you where the state of the program is, congratulations, you're now officially a Sunshine Pumping positiger pussy of the Highest Order!

It tells me the best that the GOAT OM team can hope for is the Sugar bowl, while our GOAT (which we didn't have this year) teams play for Natties.

Interesting comparison on SEC Rant about fans view of the program and the reality view. Hodson2Fuller must have a terrible job with no life. Surely there is no understanding of bowl selection. Its not based on team prowess or success, but $$$ and the SEC makes the decision. LSU in Houston is a moneymaker because there are REAL fans there...
I feel bad for those like Hodson2Fuller.....

Houston is full of LSU fans, many of which had to go to Texas for a job.
Of course reading the chicken littles around here, LSU won't sell any tickets, so I guess all of those LSU alums are just going to sit home and pout.

Or maybe not...............

Ole Miss is probably the second best team in the conference, so no, it's not really surprising. You must not watch much of the actual games.

Just wait till next year!

~Cam and Les release that modern offense we've been waiting for

~We'll finally get a win against Arkansas

~The Gator Bowl will surely want us then!

Did LSU actually improve? We rectified two of last year's losses - MSU and Auburn.

We came within just a few feet of losing again to MSU, and our win against Auburn had more to do with Auburn's significant regression than LSU's drastic improvement (as we now know, having watched LSU throughout the month of November).

Let's not fool ourselves - this team isn't substantially better than last year's team, while MSU and Auburn are definitely worse. That's where your two game "improvement" comes from.

At the end of the day, though, it doesn't matter - we're in just as bad of a bowl this year (possibly worse) as we were last year.
