You must have gone to the game this past weekend. I went through this same review about 10 years ago when I went to the game in Oxford and saw how they have these prominently displayed in the stadium. Pretty pathetic to "claim" these championships that don't exist, but we all know they aren't the only one to do this in the SEC.

I believe they were also listed as the Colley Matrix as #1, which is one of the recognized championship organizations.
The irony is that the Gumps have claimed titles of similar merit for years.

Only 1960 is legit
Out of all 6 claimed between A&M and Ole Miss?

They beat three ranked teams (one being LSU in the Sugar Bowl).
Bowl games were parties. Final polls were done before bowl games, they were meaningless.

1960 was FWAA which was legitimate. 1959 and 1962 are in no way legitimate.

So does UCF, means absolutely nothing.

Ole Miss' 1960 claim of a national title is legit. Deal with it.
Keep in mind that while the title was awarded pre-bowl, Minnesota not only lost a regular season game but lost the Rose Bowl, too.
