Yes they did. I know that was a terrible strike 3 call on Morgan, but you can't keep trying to come back late in games.

LSU isn’t getting a top 8 seed at 18-12 with series losses including a sweep to Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Auburn as long as Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Auburn finish with better or equal SEC records as LSU which it looks like they will.

I was referring to Ty Floyd possibly being a starter at some point beyond this series if necessary. Ole Miss has their bullpen too, but their bullpen hasn't been as good as ours for the year.

Is there a gif of this, cause I only saw it live. McManus is terrible at blocking balls, no doubt, but you guys are acting like he missed a fastball that went right through his glove. If I recall it was a nasty Hilliard 12-6 that bounced about a foot in front of the plate. Great pitch, but that’s always the risk with 1st base unoccupied.
I may be wrong—I want to see it again—but I think it may have been almost impossible from where it bounced to block it where it just died right in front of him and made for an easy throw to beat him. I think even a “good” block probably still gets away to far to get him.
Regardless, we got 3 fricking hits. We lost because Ole Miss”s pitchers shoved it up our arse, not because of 1 not perfect block (that was a wild pitch, btw). Lay of McManus. He got the hit that finally got into their pen. That may pay dividends. Let’s go win Games 2 and 3.

They won’t let him shite the bed for long. Floyd’s effort was not in vain, because we still have all our bullpen pieces that they will go to at the 1st inkling of trouble. Floyd could wind up being the MVP of the series for us.
