Well shite. Great outings by Labas and Acker. We had several hard hit balls that either died at the track or were just straight at an OU player.

Hopefully the team uses this as motivation Going forward.

Maybe the no hitter will be good for this team long term. Trying to be optimistic...

It won’t. LSU hasn’t had a full-time hitting coach since Andy. Paul would rather pay Nolan full-time money to recruit (something he refuses to do) than invest in a full time hitting coach.

Really sad that Maineri continues to get a pass from a majority of the fan base.

Second game in a row Milazzo has ended the game

I like Milazzo and all, but Paul is putting him a tough spot.

Analytics have clearly identified hitting your best hitter in the 2-hole is the optimal spot.

Yet Mainieri ignores it and hits a true freshman in the slot.

Pitcher has thrown 110+ pitches. You have him in a 3-ball count twice. Instead of making him throw the extra pitches, you swing and bail him out......

I don’t understand the logic

Congrads to kid for no no. This is embarrashing as all shite. No hitters happen but we hit for crap game in and game out. Henry lost to E Kentucky 2. -0 and now this.

7-5 baby

Hopefully loss against winless Nichols was motivation, or losing opening series to a bottom tier EKU would be motivation. Now let’s hope a hitless game is motivation.

As the season extends the Baylors and Oklahomas will suddenly see that getting excited beating a PM team was childish. Beat somebody and then get excited.

Thought the same thing, this is why you put your best hitter in the 2 hole

Starting pitching is great for this team. Bull pen and hitting are terrible minus hill. Coaching is worse than hitting.

Our starters deserved more support this weekend. Feel bad for them.

Is it still too early to say that our hitting is too bad for us to be a good team? We’re just a mediocre team with pitching that’s too good for us to be a bad team. Average. Its what we are.

It’s definitely concerning that the hitting seemd so subpar after making the change at hitting coach.

Does anyone have any stat comparisons year-over-year to this point? Does it just feel as bad as last year, or worse? I’d hate to overreact in the heat of the moment.

To late for new players. Time to change batting order and maybe use your speed by bunting . Gonna need to scratch hard for runs. Season early ,up to PM to make a few tweeks.
