You said

Got pitched around early in season then he started getting attacked and he’s watched a lot of strikes last couple weeks

Does getting pitched around get you more walks? I was pointing out your usual nonsense, but of course, you deflect.

At least the tigers win, yorke with the most RBIs in the game.

It depends on the batters behavior

I can appreciate the observation but don't dismiss or discount plate discipline....as some are prone to do

Unless Cowan comes back in for the 9th, he can definitely pitch again this series. Even tomorrow. How many pitches did he throw? 2?

He hasn't looked good throwing twice in one weekend while at LSU.

I like Cowan, but he hasn't shown he can do that.

It was a statement of fact and observation. Nothing positive or negative. Not shocking considering Johnson’s previous outings in an LSU uniform at The Box

he threw twice against tennessee last year and didn't give any runs either outing, actually looked better the second outing than the first.

pitched twice against Missouri, gave up 1 run across 2 outings in 3.2 IP

the only time he was "bad' pitching twice in the same weekend was against A&M

And they still would have won, I don’t really understand the point. They were crushing Vandy pitching in 2 of the 3 games last weekend. The only inexcusable week was the one where we got shellacked by ULL and lost the series to sac state, the whole team was just in a mega slump then however

Jays shifts tonight made the difference. His best coaching of the year in that respect

Great win for the Fighting Tigers against a very good Oklahoma ball club. Very encouraging performance especially on the pitching front.

Let's keep it rolling...

Johnson = cam Johnson.
Ironically, you mention Vandy because Coach Johnson talked about the walks and HBP Friday being the reason for the loss.
Baseball is a funny game.

Yes, he has. Last year, he pitched twice in 4 series. Only one was really bad (A&M). In the Bama series, he allowed 2 ERs, but it isn't like they were crushing him. We were up by 3 runs, and he pitched 3 innings to get the save.

Mizzou
3.2 IP, 2 H, 1ER, 1BB, 7 Ks

Bama
3.1 IP, 4H, 2ER, 0BB, 4Ks

Tenn
2.2 IP 3H, 0ER 1BB 3Ks

A&M
.2 IP 5H, 4ER, 0BB, 0K

Yeah. The shifts don't always work, but tonight we played them almost perfectly. It was impressive.

Tennessee was the only weekend where he was as good or better in the second outing than the first.

He may be able to do it consistently, but he has not shown the ability to in SEC play while at LSU.

I’m a Cowan defender but I can’t go on anything more than the numbers here.
