No offense to Reaves, Simpson, or a freshman Braun, but I don't think they catch that ball Stanny just caught

No offense to them, but, I forgot they existed for this game.

and if Yorke swung at the first pitch strike and popped up, I'm sure you'd be cool with his "aggressive approach" right?

I don’t teach first pitch pop ups. Is this something you just imagine?

Am I the only that’s ready for Curiel to change his walk up song?

Why
Because I think we can finish this game without using Cowan.

Cowan is a guy that can stretch if you run into trouble and need to pull a starter. He's also a guy that cannot throw twice in a weekend without getting shelled the second time.

Hopefully you can win the next 2 with

Moore
Schmidt
Williams
Guidry
Sheering
Garcia
Fontenot
Noot
Plog again
whichever freshman are active.

Personally would have rather gone with Noot there (if you wanted to go RHP) and saved Cowan for later.

For the record - I think they can win the next 2 without him. I just think Jay had enough wiggle room to go to someone else and save Cowan.

Does anyone know how these pitchers OU has thrown tonight, fit in their bullpen hierarchy??? Are these good arms or bums?

I'm sure you loved Paul Mainieri's approach of swinging at every pitch that's near the zone. Jay teaches patience. Getting guys on base is important. Regardless if it's a walk or a single. Everyone wants Yorke to hit the ball better, but if he's better off right now getting a walk than swinging and getting himself out, sign me up

Unless Cowan comes back in for the 9th, he can definitely pitch again this series. Even tomorrow. How many pitches did he throw? 2?

Boy, Ruckert looks every bit the part of a high school kid trying to compete with grown men in college baseball.

Yorke has watched a ton Of meatball strikes. Don’t make up an imagined story of something that doesn’t exist.

Meh. If he throws fewer than 20, he could come back for an inning or two Sunday.

That ball Willits just hit goes out at that gay Vandy stadium. I’m convinced now our guys were trying to be too perfect last weekend and it led to walks.
